LOL at nuclear mode!!!!! Awesome light man, shame it’s so gigantic!

Haha yea, But I love the size, similair to d size maglite, just larger head. Its a pleasure to walk around at night with and hardly notice its in your hand :). Another plus is that you could kill anything with it lol, with that SOLID head. Love the size, but its definitely not a light you can chuck in you pocket, unless you have deep ones for the handle to slide into Wink

Comes big output. You don’t mind a larger light when you’re going to get that kind of result. Maybe not a light for hiking with but a lot of fun for walking the dog or walking around bushy areas. Helps to protect against Drop Bears as well.

Drop Bears Lol. The other night I went for a walk with this thing, I found a Koala on our property, first time I’ve seen one wild in 10+ years. Many doors are opened with a Trustfire x100 :). Going for walks is just a pleasure when you have so much light at your disposal even though low is plenty, medium is like a skyray king, and high, yea… you’ve seen the pics.

Ok, so I have been using my X100 for more than a month now, and love it more every time I use it lol. My go to flashlight is the 4x XML-2 T6 Skyray King from Willbuying, and the x100 is the one when sheer brute force is needed. Ok, first of all, my first posts on this forum explained that the original driver was faulty, and wouldn’t function on all the modes except for med and high, and after a day it quit completely. I straight away ordered the beast driver from lightmalls, which also turned out to be a lemon when I installed it, so I order the one from KD, which is the one I use now… flawless. Well, I got hold of the seller on ebay and for $10 they agreed to ship entire new head to me!! That is great service if you ask me. After months of waiting for stock from factory, I received it today, so now have two X100 heads. I will install beast driver into both of them, but thinking of doing a dedome mod on one, say 4 LEDs, just to have some more throw, but I guess not necessary with a wall of 6000lm lighting everything for 200-300m.

Also, I couldn’t help myself trying 4 cells with the KD driver, even though the manufacturer specifies max of 12v. Turns out it runs great, and get longer run times… I finally did a current test on it and was drawing 0.6a on low, 1.5a on medium and a whopping 6.8a on High!! Equation To find wattage, 4 × 3.8v (cell under load)= 15.2v. 15.2v x 6.8a = 103.36w!!! What the hell thats a lot of watts. Theoretically, the X100 should be doing well over 8000lm at these current levels, and to be honest, I wouldn’t doubt it.

What are your thoughts on it??

Edit: After more testing, the current drops quickly due to the thermal protection at a guess. After 30s high is running at 4.5a, which is 70w, 6000lm. These tests were done with the torch lying on a blanket with no air movement, so real life tests walking outside at night, it wouldn’t heat up so fast. Overall, the thermal protection makes it hard to measure the current, because it draws different current on high, just depending how hot the light is.

The thermal protection is likely just a timer based thermal protection, it doesn’t actually measure the heat Wink So makes no difference if you’re using it in the artic where it’s -40, in texas on the hottest day of the year, still bumps down after x seconds Big Smile
