P60 drop in help.

I need a replacement P60 drop in for a light so I am looking to BLF for some help. This will be for hunting mostly so having the max amount of light is paramount. I don't mind if it has a low feature also but it must default back to high almost ASAP. What would you suggest? I will be running CR18650.

I like single mode XREs for hunting or two mode low and high at the most. Green XREs can work well with dangerous predators like boar since it doesn't spook them.

This is the brightest P60 drop in for the best price, it is a 3 mode high med low with no strobe or silly sos modes.

For somebody who will not use a second 18650 battery (till 3.7v), is there a reason to buy the 6v version of the following dropins:

Are they better than the Manafont version above? Can the reflector changed with an op one?

The manafont version is very very bright. But as posted earlier E1320 I have heard builds one that is just as bright but uses less current so therefore the battery should last longer, as the MF version pulls alot more amps have heard up 5 amps (mine pulls 3.8 amps). Not for sure if he ships out of the USA though.

edit - SolarForce make very good products also.

I have a OP reflector on my MF drop-in and it seems to have a bigger hot spot but it now has a ring towards the outer edge of the spill. Only can see that ring indoors really, have to look for it outside.

That’s a great beam shot Jack, the rings in the beam are very obvious on a whitewall with an SMO reflector. That’s exactly why I always try to get people to choose an OP reflector for there drop ins unless they need the maximum amount of throw.
