3*xml 26650 with the wrong price?

http://www.powerwholesale.net/3-T6-5-modes-18650-26650-Single-Lithium-Flashlight—golden-p-2113.html

Price is right! ($18.45 if they change it)

Guess it does not include postage. :slight_smile:
Just stumbled on it.Anyone knows anything more?

I wonder what they charge for shipping? That’s the same one CNQ sells for $58.00

Just ordered one, have to wait for an email now with shipping prices…

Went through the checkout and the shipping options are UPS, Hong Kong Post, DHL, FedEx, EMS and TNT. The only problem is that the shipping cost for each method is listed as 0.00. Sounds good of course, but clearly incorrect.

Selected Paypal as the payment option, continued anyway, and was presented with this:

Your Order Number is: [removed for this post],Total: $18.45
You can view your order history by going to the My Account page and by clicking on “View All Orders”.
Please direct any questions you have to customer service.
We will send the invoice ( with your shipping cost after our sales caculated it ) to your email within 24 hours.

Haven’t made a payment yet. Wasn’t intending to. Didn’t ask me to. But if they email me and the cost is reasonable, I’ll certainly go ahead.

Im this close to order. Been waiting for multi-Xml light in an affordable price range.

Anyone ordered from these before?

My curiosity was killing me as well.
I went ahead and placed a order for one.
At the end of the checkout process they stated will send you a invoice
We’ll see the results. But I have my suspicions the
price plus shipping will come close to the $50. mark.
That will be a instant cancel.
I dislike stupid games and playing it that way is a stupid game…

Also the SR 856 for $34.68!

I ordered BOTH!

Total = $53.13 + shipping....

I just west through the same process, of course the gotcha is the shipping. I used paypal but i expected to see a confirmation and other info before the final order. How can they charge my paypal account if I don’t supply extra information?

They can’t. Payment instructions will be included in the invoice I imagine.

Order update:

So, $28.80 shipped (to Australia, anyway).

Meh. Just not feeling it with this potential purchase. I think I’d rather put my $28.80 towards something else.

Shame, I would like to order these lights too. Hope Safari is wrong and you guys get your lights ok

ask them to locate another viable shipping option? I made a purchase and they came back with a median and El cheapo shipping option…as long as it includes registered mail and tracking…

Same exact price to ship to U.S. as Australia, does that sound legit?

“Thanks kindly for your order from our powerwholesale.net.

The cheapest shipping cost is US$ 10.25 shipping by HongKong Post (2-4 weeks.)

So total payment is $10.35+$18.45 = $28.8.

Payment Term: Paypal.

Paypal Address:

Please kindly let me know if eveything is OK for you, just let me know after your payment done, then we’ll arrange the goods for you soon.

BTW this light must be 3 led’s in parallel and will run on 1 18650. Therefore I would conclude that is must be VERY under driven because the current limit on protected 18650s’ is 3.5 amps

wut

Most of them trip protection at 8A+ (RediLast, Intl-Outdoors, Xtar, AW), some at 6A (Eagletac), but I haven’t seen any high-quality ones that trip at less than 6A.

Ok, just got my invoice for two triple XML lights (SR 856 and SR WF-666) shipped to US (below).

cost of lights =$53.13

shipping = $17.90

pp fees = $2.84

total = $73.87

Works out to be $36.93 for each light, which would normally cost >$100 if ordered elsewhere.

So now the decision....should I pull the trigger????

IMHO a parallel LED arrangement would be the logical choice. A parallel arrangement would more closely match Vin from a single cell, 3S = 9-10Vf, 3P = 3.2Vf. So a less complex driver circuit could be used in a 3P setup. Also, 18650 cells (and their protection circuits) can easily exceed 3.5A too (FWIW).

How hard the emitters are driven is anyones guess. My experience is 18650 cells get unstable at currents greater than ~5.5-6A for 3-4 minutes. Mine get SCORCHING hot under such conditions, and I generally get an uneasy feeling when they near the ~1.5C mark. So hopefully the lights designers kept this in mind.

I have had this light in my cart for a month… not going to pull the trigger just yet though. I just can’t get past that hideous gold color YUK!! I’d snag one in a heartbeat if it were gray or black

Shadowww, you are right on that, I always thought it was 3.5, I don’t know where I picked THAT up from.

Anyway, I would stay away from this vendor. There is a good chance there will be problems.

That was the case 3-4 years ago, where 18650 protection circuits capped off around 3-3.5A. Today however thats no longer the case (thankfully).
