Just bought one tonight, its the best surprise light I have. VERYHAPPY with it. Very sturdy, great quality. Its a good thrower, good multipurpose light.

Available at HomeDepot, there is a HomeDepot close to everyone, so its easy to buy.
High mode/Low mode, very nicely spaced I really love this light and recommend it to anyone who just wants a regular light for a regular person, regular light activities or duties, this light is amazing.
Box said it passed a 30ft drop-test and I believe it, very thick and substantial and the rubber bumper guards are a nice touch.
I have it on now in candle mode (I mean light is tail-standing) typing this post.
(Only draw-back is that there is no lanyard attachment anywhere on the light.)
Would love 1 too, especially as beater or for lending purposes. Brightness and runtimes should be okay, in practice i would assume that it is indeed indestructible (plus the FREE lifetime warranty). The only unimpressive thing, and i wouldnt mind, about it is its size and dimensions. The Rayovac could replace any incandescent Maglite but it cant compete with the compactness of EDC lights, which is one of the prime advantages of today's power LED flashlights.
If i could find one for 15$ shipped, i would buy one without hesitation or regret.
This light is an absolute no-brainer for $15. The overall build quality is quite impressive and the modes are spaced very well. Beyond that, you really do get the feeling that this light is as “indestructable” as they come.
Like esrevenge said, the light has a relatively large and deep reflector, so this one is a pretty impressive little thrower. The spill is still very useful, though, so this would be great as an all-around light.
Unfortunately I’m not setup to do any fancy beam shots or runtime graphs, but if anyone has any questions I’d be happy to do my best to answer them.
Rayovac also said that using Lithium batteries is okay in these lights. Happy about that since this would be a great flashlight for the car or truck in all climates.
In Europe, they are sold as the VARTA Indestructible lights.
I bought the 3xAAA version, and it’s a good light for the price. Only think that annoys me, is that squared part towards the head of the light it makes the light very uncomfortable to hold. Although with the longer body of the 2AA version it should be better.
Yup the 2AA version is P60 compatible, don’t have any pictures right now since i’m not at home. I use a Solarforce drop in that accepts up to 9V. So I use two 14500. Works great.
The other ones I have given for gifts are the lower voltage so I can use them with primary AAs at 3V. All good.
I’ve run mine with this drop-in with 2 Eneloops just fine.
One thing I would say is that the head is wrapped in rubber so there really is NOT any thermal transfer. However, I normally use mine for short bursts of light or on medium/low. So it really hasn’t bothered me. Honestly if my $11 drop-in burns out I could care less.
You know, I tried salvaging the led and driver when removing it, but its kind of a pain. All three times I ended up destroying the led. I think with enough time and care you could save everything, but I’m a bit impatient. When you remove the driver you need to undo this black plastic guard thingy, normally when that comes off it can sometimes take the led with it.
