My truck currently has a cheap, wired incan spotlight (not rechargeable). It’s wired for no battery to maintenance, but hard to use if there might be a wiring failure (EDC). It was the thrower, once upon a time.

If my son has snagged some of those cheap Surefire 123s, I’ll probably improve the situation with those. Any ebay recommendations? Maybe a Saik-8 or clone?

That’s great! As of right now, 100% of the people agree with me. What were the odds of that?

I have a flashlight on me from sun up to sun down, so I that’s about as dedicated as I can go.

I have a Princeton Tec EOS headlamp with 3 AAA lithium primaries in it (in the glovebox). In the drivers side door arm rest I have a single AAA twisty with a lithium primary.

Appreciate the input, Cone. So no full-time light that stays with the vehicle?

Yes,
Trustfire F22 stainless steel without the klingon bezel, in the centre console.
It’s a light I don’t particularly like, so that gets it out of my sight and also justifies it’s existence in my collection. Plus, it’s a perfect fit in the little hollow in the console.

I keep an old Surefire G1 with a R2 LED drop in in the counsel of my truck along with 4 CR123 cells in a plastic case.

I keep 2 LedLenser in my truck, one is a V2 and the other is V2 Dual color.

Nope, I pretty much wear some sort of logger/carpenter pant every single day, so a substantial flashlight rides in the left leg pocket and four cr123s ride in the watch pocket. I can’t remember a time when it wasn’t this way. If I was to start keeping lights in the various cars/trucks I’d either be caught away from the ride without anything in my pocket or someone would drain the batteries and/or move it with out telling me and I be without light.

Regardless of the EDC gear, for me, on body is better because then I have direct access and control. I have another light in my ditch bag for backup, but that generally stays with me too and not left where little people can get at it.

My wife has here own EDC so it’s not like someone will be in a car without precautionary gear.

I bought a Maglite XL50 and a 2D Maglite LED “2011Black Friday special”. The XL50 is for use inside the car, the 2D is more for “HD” use.

To answer the “why” - the XL50 fit a need for a fairly bright light in a small package. I had not had a small light for interior use since my 2 AAA Maglite had the batteries leak and destroy it back in the mid ’90’s. I wanted something small, yet bright, that I could use primaries in. Since I don’t use the light often, I have put primary lithiums in it, which I hope are less likely to leak than alkalines. The 2D I bought mainly to see how bright it was and to replace the plastic incan that was bright for its day, with something better and for the price it was tempting. The 2D turned out to be quite a bit brighter.

Sipik SK68 with lithium Energizer Ultimate. Small footprint, wide range zoom/throw, really bright yet last ~2hrs, lithium will retain unused charge for years. I think it's perfect for emergency light.

3D Mag with a showerhead dropin . PVC sleeve so I can run 4 Cs in it . It's a bright , floody light and , if need be , a weapon .

It lives in the pocket behind the passenger seat .

3 d cell maglite LED

Sipik 68 and a Tank 007 AAA

early Inova X-5 + Akoray K-106 + 3 or 4 of those free Harbor Freight 9 led 3aaa lights + MTE P-7 + DX fauxton + Paclite —— I really need to clean out my truck.

At the moment I have only one: UF-H3 headlamp. It's a nice flooder and most emergencies require hands free operation anyways..

I keep forgetting to add one throwier all around light, most probably one of my C8 XM-Ls, so thanks for reminding me! :)

I have also that light,
and it has magnet at the bottom, so can be used as directed light for car repairs.
That is my light to carry in a car.

P60 hosts with blinky modes and cr123s in each vehicle, plus one of the 3 fers from Home Depot in 3 of the vehicles.

If only I own a car will definitely store several lights with spare batteries and charger. Currently have my DX Fauxton in small container of my Bicycle. The bike already have flashlight strap which my Xeno E03 and Solarforce L2t resides whenever I go out at night.
