Pros:

  • Different
  • No problem deciding whether you want plain or serrated blade -> get both!
  • Compact
  • Has a nice clip + lanyard hole + "big hole" -> You can choose your preferred way to carry
  • Good, very reliable liner locks
  • High build quality
  • Quite thick blade (2.5mm)
  • No sideplay on blade
  • Razor sharp out of the box
  • Inexpensive for the quality
  • Comes with optional holster

Cons:

  • Included holster is way too long for this knife

This knife comes in a basic brown box, with an optional holster (+$1). I don't recommend the holster, since it's way too long for this compact knife.

Here's the knife out of the box. Looks good.

Serrated blade opened:

Features / Design / Value: ★★★★

Compact knife with two straight blades, one with plain edge and another serrated. Both blades were razor sharp straight out of the box. Well done Ganzo!

First side: Plain edge

Second side: Serrated edge

There is a separate liner lock for both blades. Lock feels sturdy and safe.

Both blades can be opened with a thumb stud. Opening requires some force - the knife can't be just flicked open.

The knife feels good in hand. Nothing is loose and blades are safely inside the "semi scales":

The clip can't be reversed or changed to other side (minus one star), but feels very solid.

Other ways to carry the knife are: "Big hole"

..and lanyard hole:

Value for money: Good!

=> Really suitable for EDC.

Build Quality: ★★★★

Build quality is very good. Nothing to complain.

Let's see some close up pics to confirm the quality:

Summary: ★★★★

A really nice EDC knife with two blades. Unusual design made it very attractive to me and the knife itself lived up to my expectations.

Verdict: Recommended!

The end:

Thanks for reading and watching. Hope you enjoyed the review! (Note that this is my first knife review, so please ask if I forgot to tell something important..)

Thanks for the review _the_! Looks like an interesting knife.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a design like that! Excellent review. I think I’ll buy one!

Go for it! It's on special right now: $9.98 at Exduct :)

Looks like a nice rope knife and very well made.

I like the finger hole. Interesting.

Wonder if it’s really 4116 steel?

That would be a surprise, but I guess some of the higher end Chinese knives are using Sandvik 12C27, so it’s not out of the question.

Nice review _the_. Thanks

Do they take Paypal??

Does it cut? :P

Yes they do! (Just ordered two more of these) :)

Always happy to enable.. ;)

EDIT: Don't forget the "BLFgiveaway" coupon for 5% off AND chance to win $20 in next giveaway!

i am not into knives but thanks anyway for the review and efforts spent!

are more reviews to come? ;)

I have the Gerber version of the exact same knife. Great knife and perfectly balanced. I think i paid $20.00 at Cabela’s

Great HD pics. They really show the quality of the knife. Often pics like these show many flaws and machine marks but this looks really clean and well made.

But how durable are these knifes? Can you really use them (best example I can think of is Bear Grylls chopping wood..) for daily activities?

Nice review with great photo’s
Might have to order one

Thanks for the review. I assume those are torx screws on this knife? Do you know which size they are? Is the finger hole concept working and is it comfortable to hold? How is the clip retention? Too strong/weak for jeans wear?

I just ordered two of these.

Yes, they are Torx screws, size T7.

Haven't really used the knife much yet, but my initial impression of the finger hole concept is that it's good, making it possible to get good grip (And it makes it harder to cut that finger)

Clip is ok for jeans wear. I have had the knife attached to my jeans pocket since yesterday and it feels secure, yet easy to attach / remove.
