Lightmalls

Has anybody had a problem with lightmalls. I have bought from them before and no issues. On July 4th I ordered one of those solarforce L2m from them for $15. After ordering I read the review by Foy and realized I probably had bought a fake. No big deal because the performance of this light is evidently still pretty impressive for the money paid. My paypal confirmation came within 5 minutes like it always does but I still have not gotten an order confirmation from lightmalls .I checked my account and it showed me as having set up an account but had not placed an order with them. I sent them an email asking for a status update and included the paypal confirmation #. This was yesterday over 24 hours ago and I have heard nothing. I know with a Chinese seller a week is too early to worry but I would think a simple confirmation would have been issued by now. Am I being unrealistic to expect this? I read a bunch of bad stuff about DD but I got my confirmation from them the same day I placed the order. IDK.

You might have made the payment, without logging in, but as a guest.

Not trying to bash your logic or methods here, but if you’re not going to support local business (and that would be in state for you via Lighthound) and you’re ordering Solarforce from overseas… Why would you not order direct from Solarforce via solarforceflashlight-sales.com? They got the L2M on special for $9.99 (with $2 shipping from my understanding)…Lighthound based in Texas is probably the largest US seller of Solarforce and has stellar customer sevice has it for $12.99 but they only use USPS Priority so shipping would be expensive unless you order more stuff. I think SBFlashlights also has it for $16.99 and probably has cheaper shipping options, it seems they ship out of Texas too. I’ve ordered from all 3 for Solarforce stuff…direct from Solarforce isn’t bad timewise, usually get my orders within 2 weeks of placing and I’m in California

If anyway possible, I like to support my businesses. I was just following a link from something and stumbled on this light. I am kind of new to the whole budget light scene and was impressed with the advertised specs for this little light so I ordered it. I tend to get some of these sellers mixed up and there is a possibility that I actually had ordered from lighthound and not lightmalls in the past. That name does sound more like it now that you mention it. Well I guess I will play the waiting game for a while and hope they contact me. If not I guess I will have to take the issue up with paypal. Well anyway, thanks for letting me vent a little. Next time I will research the vendor reviews on BLF before I buy.

That thing about mixing up the sellers happens to a lot of guys here. So many vendors - similar names and sometimes similar shops and of course similar products.
Anyway I would try to find a different email adress to lightmalls then the one you have already used and then resend you inquiry + a reference to the first email. If that doesnt work I guess you can contact seller through your paypal receipt.
I hope things work out right for you and that you get something you like for yours hard earned dough. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you

Thanks Bro. I will do just that!

Yeah filing a Paypal dispute usually gets the attention of most sellers…I recently got a defective dropin in a flashlight I got from Kaidomain, first tried resolving through contacting them direct, was told I would be sent a replacement and they never did. I had to file a Paypal dispute and then they finally responded again stating they’ll ship out the replacement dropin immediately. We’ll see if I actually get it…if not, Paypal will probably get me my money back.

Well hopefully you will get the drop in and not have to settle for a refund. I went to lightmalls web sight and saw that they have a live chat feature and sent them a message. after a couple of exchanges I was told they would research my problem and email me promptly. This morning I do have an email from them saying the item was processed and not to worry that it was on the way. They gave me a tracking # too so looks like all should be well.

ace0001a,
Isn’t that $9.99 price for the host only? I don’t believe I am ready for the building stage yet, although it does intrigue me. The one That I have on order is supposed to be complete with the xml u2 led. I would like to try this in the future though.

I ran the tracking # this evening and it passed through the sort facility in L.A. yesterday. If it doesn’t get held up in customs I might get it by mid week next week.

Is something like a virus in chinese shops. In the first order, everything is fine. In the second (I have faced that in buyincoins.com too), for a reason I can’t explain, the decide to downgrade the quality of packaging. The white retail boxes get repealed and only bubble bags protect the shipment. The result is some C8s full of scratches again, and lightmalls don’t ansewer my emails or my open ticket in their site.
How absurd and annoying is that???

After contacting them through live chat seems like things started to happen. I received my light on Tuesday July 17th. Their communication isnt the greatest but seems their service was good. It took 13 days from ordering to get to my mailbox. I think that is pretty good.

I would try the live chat. I got nowhere with emailing them. Not one response. They did however respond within minutes to my chat message. Good luck!!
