GoldRunhui 9* XM-L

Things have got bigger

9*XM-L light for $85 + $35 shipping.

80mm Head but the heat sinking could be poor, not enough fins compared to the Trustfire X100 which has a 75mm head.

At least it is different to others, probably worse but different in the reflector design, it looks like there are three smaller ones in the center, and the ones on the sides are 1 set of three with one shape, and another set of three with another shape on the edges, it looks like the designer didn’t know what a ruler and a compass are >)

The reflector looks like crap, I’ll pass, this will probably be advertised as 11,000 lumen just wait and see.

Actually in my experience with the J12 and X100, the fins don’t make much of a difference unless if it is horizontal. If it’s standing vertical, the rising hot air via convection near the air just heats itself up. If there is a decent breeze of at least 3kph then it’s fine.

80mm is fine, looks like there is a lot of metal there to soak up heat.

Might throw worse than the X100. Even the reflectors at the size are smaller than the X100.

Not sure how that is driven, the pill is removable while the one in the X100 is not (it has 2 screws on the backside of the LED plate when viewed from the driver cavity). Also note that this has a 2 cell tube, and the X100 has a 3-cell tube + 1 extension (they probably are careful here due to the high current draw….remember even on good/freshly charged TF Flames 26650 with a less voltage drop than your best PAnasonic 18650s, it’s at least 5.5A and rising due to regulation as it discharges).

PS. Wonder if that’s a floating pill or a screw-on pill. Can’t see.

It’s actually a OEM version devoid of any branding and markings. They just named it after their store name. Smile

Some may want to have a Wall Of Light.

My guess is that it’s one of those 7 XM-L lights running at about 2200 lumens OTF drive. The only good thing is that it probably can run at that level forever and still keep pretty cool (the J12 would be scorching hot in a tropical country after 20 minutes). Smile It’s worth it if it’s priced at $65, not usd105 shipped here. (USA is 112 shipped)

Now the cheapest deal for the X100 set is $114 shipped to my country (I got it at 119 shipped). 114 – $22 – $22 – $13 (2 pairs of TF 26650 and 1 TR-006 charger) = $57….just for cheap thrills. Silly
