My MXDL 3W light (which works fine for it's weight and price), some 9 LED light from Dinodirect, which gives light, but uses 3 AAA's to do so... (don't like this light :P) An UltraOk ZS-2 (Sipik clone with a Cree Q5 zoom) My Romisen RC-G2 (which is my 'always in the car in case something happens' light), My mini Maglite 2 AAA (which was repaired by maglite for free, but gives little light) and a Tank007 TK-566. Well, I think I'm fine for now, I don't use them very often Silly I just like them. Then again, might buy a new light, maybe something a bit more 2011 style? Big Smile

This probably doesn't warrant a separate "show off your old beater lights" thread, so I thought I'd post this here.

This light is nothing special, but it is special to me. It's a standard, vanilla Maglite Solitaire. I just found it in a drawer of a desk that has been sitting in storage for at least half a decade. I always thought I had lost it somewhere in the big sandbox or somewhere else on the other side of the world, years and years ago.

In terms of output, well, any light at all will beat it at this point, since it doesn't work any more. But there's a good chance that any half-way decent $10 Chinese light would put the Solitaire to shame in terms out of total output. What makes this light special to me is that is has quite literally been at least twice around the world, in terms of miles traveled. I used to take this everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I've used it in the desert, I've used it in a swamp, I've used it extensively in a rain forest. I've used it a mere few feet from the Space Needle and in the middle of nowhere in Africa and the Middle East. I've also used it on a glacier. And it never quit on me.

I've thought about trying to fix it, but I think I'll just let it be. I loved this little light when I had it attached to my keys, backpack and whatnot back in the day and it never disappointed. But I'd rather not live in the past. But I know I will keep this light, that seem utterly unimpressive in every objective way next to my go-to lights, to remind me of how far we've come in just a few short years.

A pic of my cat with her favourite light

I have also gifted around ten lights not pictured

fishinfool,

What kind of light is it that in your picture, first row, five over from the right, with the "blueish" clicky switch with stainless steel housing?

This is all my flashlights. I don;t have much as of now, I've only started collecting a few months ago. But here's what i got:

and yes I need a better camera.

lol I fail

From left to right: Ultrafire 501b's in silver with UV dropin, blue camo with MC-E, green camo R5, desert orange camo R5, Ultrafire 502B with T6 and MC-E, Ultrafire 501a with P7 and gun mount, Ultrafire M10, Ultrafire 502d, richuang 039D, Small Sun ZY-155, Small Sun ZY-P2, Small Sun ZY-C35, Small Sun ZY-C81, Sipik SK68 and Romison RC-29.

yep i definately fail

These are my favourites right now, until i get some more. The 501a I use as my weapon light as you can see the rail mount attached to it and the pressure switch. I'm only 17 so I don't own a gun + it's much harder to get a gun license in Australia. I have a crossbow instead, I haven't gone hunting yet, but soon I will be able to test the effectiveness of both my weapon light and by crossbow seeing as its now holidays and I have no more school... ever as i've finished year 12! Cool

Soon this week I will be receiving a Romison RC-A2, Romison RC-C6 and Ultrafire C3. I might just have one of those as my EDC. I will be purchasing myself a Solarforce flashlight very very soon too.

This is most of mine, minus whatever is in cars, backpacks, etc.  Also, this is missing a new L2X extended and a few others currently being evaluated for review.

Also, from our other house before we moved, I found this picture - about a year ago I think . . . pretty funny.

Here's my collection. It keeps growing. I've got 5 more lights on the way. Maybe they'll be here soon.

My collection has nothing exotic aepect maybe DRY, all standar lights, so I dont bother to post it Shocked (who would like to see all these Ultrafires, Trustfires, skyrays etc Shocked I also have just one sollarforce)

Why not? I don't own very many expensive lights - maybe six of them cost more than $50. But I do own quite a lot of lights.

I think Boaz has me beaten on the number owned though.

We all buy lights for different reasons - and "I want it" is as good a reason as any other.

I think I own (and use) about 30 lights that cost less than $5

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

There are some collection threads like this over at CPF that are mind boggling/breathtaking.  I used to spend hours looking/never commenting.  What do you say to a guy that posts pics of his $30k collection?

congratulationsFoy
