As subject says. XM-L T6 18650 Sipik clone for $10.67. Ends in three hours.

three hours and 1 day

My friend bought this Zoomable 18650 light when it was $12.55 but he got it 10% off by using the coupon code. He said it is crazy bright, long runtime on RediLast 18650 batteries!

Now it is 15 % OFF, I am in for 1 !

Something is wrong here. That light looks like a Sipik sk68 clone, which uses 14500 batteries.

I bought 3 pieces on ebay :
(everything included in the price)

This look the same !?

Could anyone put a link to the Sipik 18650 model ?
I can`t find it.

EDIT :

I have some problems at that site. My browser crashes there.

REEDIT :

Found the description underneath. Bought one !
Thx for linking

It's a pleasure to know you, alland44!

I found this image on a Danish forum. Someone that goes by Alland44 thought it was funny.

English translation, provided by Google Translate:

There was something wrong with Bob's flashlight. :D

Welcome to BLF, Alland44! Let us know what you think of that light. I don’t have one yet.

the cartoon above is what is happening when you install the batteries with wrong side.

Really nice deal, to bad I dont need it, I already have one (Ultrafire)

Any meaningful difference between these clones and the Sipik SK98? The 98s are notoriously horrible in the heat sinking department - to the point they just burn out within a few minutes. Better heat sinking on these clones, or what? If so, I might spring for one.

wow, i’m interested, but i would rather pay full price and wait till someone does a review

i just bought a similiar light or maybe exact light from here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110876053142#ht_5892wt_988

all i can say is wow. this thing is bright. it throws pretty far, but i am most impressed with the flood on this thing. huuuge wide spill/flood. even more than my skyray king!

hay aland44, so the one’s that you bought for $5 on ebay, does not fit 18650 cells?

you have beamshots (especially when zoomed in) comparing this light to a 14500 sipik?

No.

14500 or just plain AA`s.

But it is a very good little flashlight. A bargain !

Are the light brighter than the sky ray king or is it the angle of the beam ?

how about heat problems in these clones? If anyone has a clones without these problems like the originals could you give a link where you bought it?

That’s what I was trying to ask as well.

The one (I’ve got from same company) didn’t have hollow pill, but there was no sign of thermal paste. So you have to check yours and add the paste if needed. Heatsinking is good enough for a current bit more than 2A.
Otherwise it has nice bright very wide spill. I don’t care much about throw as most people do. I can say it’s somewhere in the range of C8 XM-L. What I hate is next mode memory.

I have got three C8`s. All of them got a tiny, well defined hotspot.
Are you comparing ?

From flood better than Sky Ray King, to a throw like C8 ?!

I am getting very curious now.

@ johnny and raccoon.

Thx for the welcome

Unlike the sipik, it does not get too hot too fast. and yes it is bright. It is one of my favorite EDC lights, and I do like the throw feature. I haven’t taken the pill apart. I have three of them and have given away three from the sellers linked later in this post. All were perfect. And, no, it doesn’t burn up in three minutes. I have left one on several times and it reached the atomic meltdown stage (yes it gets hot eventually). Worked fine after, but I tossed the battery because they were almost too hot to hold. Not because they were bad but because they had heated up with the light.

On July 4, we went out on a boat to see fireworks. We were WAY offshore in pitch dark BUT the air was kinda foggy and misty, so that REALLY cut down on a flashlight beam’s efficency. …. Still you could see the beam from the throw hit the shore. Not a spotlight effect by any means, but you could definitely see it. How far is “way offshore?” A half mile? I’d like to say a mile, but that would be impossible. But it sure looked like a mile and I’m pretty good with distances. Anyway, we were a LONG way offshore, far enough that people on the shore weren’t really visible as people.

These actually may be the same seller.

The pill may be less than perfect, but it’s a great little light. I have a sipik98 and find it next to useless. It heats up way too fast and is only slightly (5-10%?) brighter than the ultrafire. I know, I know, the heat sinking on the sipik is doing its job at getting rid of the heat because it is getting so hot, but I for one don’t want to wear an oven mitt to use my flashlight.

I do not know if the light on special is the same as the one from the two ebay vendors. It looks like it, but who knows.

Thanks Ubehebe. Obviously these Ultrafires aren’t direct drive on high like the SK98, and it seems they may also have a solid pill.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger because I like the design and potential, and because I was disappointed I didn’t get to enjoy my SK98.

The only other XM-L 18650 zoomie I have is this no-name TF Z5 clone that I have mentioned before:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140732749694?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&\_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

It is a beast and quite a bit bigger than this SK98 clone, handles heat like a champ, and has an awesomely strong flood and throw. And, maybe the best part is that it’s a 1x18650 torch, unlike the two-cell Trustfire it is a clone of.

As happy as I am with it, I still would dig a smaller SK98 form factor that actually works well. Thanks again.
