XTAR Diving lights - General Opinion on Quality and Durability.

Hi All,

I am an avid naturalist diver and 99% of my dives are day time dives on open reefs. My cheap general brand dive light recently failed and I am looking for a replacement. I use the dive light during day time dives to look under rocks or illuminate specimens better.

In my country the only brands that are stocked are Princeton Tec, Pelican and ScubaPro – Usually old stock and old tech.

I am thinking of importing an XTAR dive light.

I am thinking of importing an XTAR dive light. I see that some of the XTAR lights have been reviewed here, but I would genuinely appreciate your thoughts on the build quality and durability of these lights, as I will not have any warranties or guarantees if I import the dive light myself.

I am specifically looking at the D02 – but as I cannot find any consumer reviews on the light through google, I’ll happily settle for the opinion of any folk on the forum who have used any of XTAR’s products.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post,

Your replies are greatly appreciated,
