XIWARE A10 Deal or No Deal

http://www.dinodirect.com/flashlights-waterproof-super-bright-cree-240lu…

Pictures look good at least. AA size 5 mode xr-e. Nothing special but could be solid.

Maybe ask Boaz!

I looked around and saw some of their lights but have never heard of them. Wondered if anyone here had first hand experience with Xiware. Though they were a possible high end torch. Possible true quality anodize and no pwm driver? Anyone here owned any Xiware lights? Searched the name here and saw the Boaz post.

It could be interesting little flashlight…

There are some of them on AliExpress

I think I might have to get ” this”:大龙网_跨境电商B2B商机平台_移动端跨境贸易新体验 one

I was trying not to purchase any more DANG

Ordered

Just search for Xiware on BLF, and you’ll get some info on another Xiware light.

saw that and wasn’t going spend $60+ BUT…. with the black option and this coupon 10OFFSALE final price was an affordable $30.82

I’ve been reading these forums all summer. Thought it was about time to give back, so I signed up to give you all feedback on this light. Mine came in yesturday. First of all, I paid about $15 from Dino Direct, so I don’t understand some of the other prices I see out there for thes ame light. At first look, this is an absolutely beautiful and well made light IMO; even has square threads (though very shallow). Able to tail stand, which is good if you want it, but makes it harder for me to push all the way in if I am holding it as a tactical light as I have short, fat fingers. Light is as it looks in pictures and to me, looks like a premium light. Finish is very smooth; looks great, feels great, but doesn’t offer much grip. In fact, there isn’t much at all on this light to give you grip, so it will depend on the user in this area whether they like it or not. Nice beam, nice throw/hotspot and good spill too. 240 lumes? I don’t have any way to measure it, but according to my eyes and other lights that I have, I’m going to guess on high it does about 160 lumens with a AA and yes, 240 lumens with a 14500 battery (and a cheepie grey Ultrafire at that). Light does get warm relatively quickly on high, but I wouldn’t say hot. I suspect thats actually due to good heatsinking. Light never got hot IMO, but I wouldn’t think it should with this LED. 5 modes work correctly? Yup. Memory mode? Yup. So what’s not to like? Well, IMHO, the 3 levels of light are way too close together. High is good for the LED, but medium is just a littly bit lower and low is just a little bit lower than that, to the point that, for me, when I turn the light on, I can’t really tell just by looking at the output what level I’m on until I flick through all 5 modes. Also, if you don’t want the flashing modes, it would be annoying to have to go through them every time. Now, the head does screw off, the reflector just sits in it (isn’t attatched to anything), and the pill is held in place by a retaining ring. Remove that ring and it slides right out, and the driver and LED become very easy to get to. This all should make it a very easy light to mod (I suspect, but I’m not a modder :frowning:

All in all, I likely won’t use this light as is, but might get it to Vinh to drop in an XM-L and a driver pushing it at 2A (good brightness with long run time on 14500, and shouldn’t have to worry about heat too much with such a small light) with a moonlight, medium and high mode, but if I don’t use it regularly that might not be money well spent. Hope this helps.

Welcome to BLF, Kevin1322.

Thanks Chicago
I pulled out the operation manual (small, but it does have one). This is what it claims about the modes:

AA: max 148L for 70 minutes, min 45L for 15 hours
Lithium: max 240L for 45 minutes, 45 L for 6 hours.

In another section it says “high: 70 min, mid: 3 hours, low: 15hours, quick flashing: 4 hours, SOS flashing: 5 hours.” It doesn’t say which battery these times are for, but according to the above info it must be using the AA.

Welcome to the addiction, Kevin1322!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Honestly, I don’t know which is all the parts on this one (or any for that matter), but here’s what I can tell:
LED and dome: 4.79mm
Entire pill: 21.68mm
Board: 20.75mm
Driver (I think) encased in plastic sleeve: 14.15mm

Hope this helps.

I got it wrong then. I called that the board. So the driver is 20.75mm then. Sorry.

I think it's a no deal . it has a forward clicky and the build is a better quality but the light is slick and the clicky is recessed and pretty spongy feeling .. The modes are like has been said not well spaced and the L20C is IMHO a much better light
