Any good guys??

I might buy it

Forgot to post linkies

Doubt it but it’s hard to guess without seeing what your on about :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn im dumb :s

Corrected it lol

Lol, well they are just basic voltage testers so I’d advise you just get a cheap stand alone meter tbh. It will prob be more durable and give you the option to do other stuff, ie tailcap readings (if it does current) or even just for things like checking fuses in you house…

I have the black. Its more practical than the blue I think. Very quick use.
Works with lions too, but 18650 don’t fit.
It measure battery with load. 50mA AA, 150mA lions.

Good to have one around, especially for heavy duty batteries because they show high voltage without load even when nearly completely depleted.

I mean to test if my eneloop needs charging or to test if batteries bad will they work??

Do the batteries show less voltage when say half full or near empty?

+1

Some bucks more but tons of places to use a basic DMM…

If you would spend the same amount at harbor freight, you could get a DMM. Or spend 2 or 3 bucks more and get one at amazon.

you guys mean something like this linky??

How to use it?
What can I do with it if its the tool you mentioned?
Which one?

Whoa, I actually bought that same exact one(the second one)! Except it was like 8 bucks total…

Well, it actually comes with a tiny pamphlet that says how to do a bunch of stuff on it (resistance readings, voltage, current draw, etc). It says where to put the probes in the holes, and what setting to turn it to.

To test voltage, turn it to DC 20 on the left. Then put the Black probe in the COM port. And put the Red probe in VMA one. Then take your battery readings.

Also, batteries are DC current, and and the number means the max voltage that selection is rated to. If it’s an inknown voltage, put it at the max of 1000, then take a reading, and just back it down to the smallest number possible. This gets the most accurate readings. Because the 200 DC setting only does it to the 1’s place. The 20 goes to the tenths place.

I’ve used it quite a bit, having batteries and alternators to change out.

I wouldn’t get the analog one, that’s soooo outdated…

So how to test batteries with it? Will the voltages differ for empty/semi empty and full batteries?

I have the black digital multimeter above. If you forget to turn it of, battery will be empty. :frowning:

Lennart

I desperately need something like this for 18650s. I totally dont like to diffle with MM leads.
Anybody know for such thing???

I already just bought 2 chargers. So, getting another one is out of question

Im not too knowledgeble in electric,so the multimeter will only be used for measuring voltages and test if a cell is full/depleted.

Will be using the multimeter only for this  So only need help on how to use it to test batteries!
