I have been thinking of purchasing a TrustFire X100 but I already own a Fenix TK70. I am NOT looking for more throw than the TK70 but I am looking for more lumens and would like to know what the 8000 lumens claim actually is OTF? Will I notice this light being brighter than my TK70 and will it have more flood which is what I want, thanks for the help!

All the info here. With additional juicy bits from flashlightmania (thai forum).

It’s basically a 3200-3300 OTF lumens light. High quality 18650s are just merely doable. Use 3 x 26650 and you’d be happy.

The X100 would complement the TK70. In close quarters but still somewhere a big enough space to let it “breathe” you’d notice that this light is brighter, simply because it is 45% more output OTF, bigger corona + hotspot. Eg an auditorium (soaks up all the light), big church hall etc.

great thread. i almost wanted to ask the same question. i really dont need more throw than my tk 70, just more flood like you asked.

so this x100 has more otf lumens than the tk70? so inside a house, or for the backyard, the x100 would seem brighter?

i say forget this, and get the new skyray king 9 emitters. one member received it already, and sounds like a winner.
