hmmmmmm

I’ve just bid on a two cell jm07/5 (think its the jm05 that can be two cell) clone.

I’ll be running it on torchy inr4000 cells, so I’m not worried about any pipe bomb issues, but given how unimpressed I was with the single cell ultrafire clone I bought, have I made a mistake?

Linky in the near future, more interested in opinions than anything else, although I have been very cheeky and don’t expect to win, it would be nice if I do.

Someone did a review on the jmo5 clone, i think it’s a good buy if it’s the same one I read about. eBay is a gamble, I look forward to the link as it’ll tell us more.

Your title leaves a lot to guess at, you may want to make it fit your question cheeky mcGee

Aye, the link’ll help, just don’t want to tip off a pile of salivating flashaholics to how cheap/cheeky I’m being sorry, hence the ambiguity.

If I get outbid I’ll stick the link up, although I have seen it posted up here before.

I did get a single cell version, but I had to sort out the tail cap to get it so work, and even now I’ve been keeping it next to my m10 on the van seat, see which one I naturally go for and every time its the m10. Maybe I should blow lamp the jm05 clone and see what colour it turns… J) 0:)

Alrighty, if you find one that’s now a deal, post that link here

There you go, note the lumens, it must be really bright……

Hate to dish one of my own lights but admittedly I’m not really that impressed with my JM05 clone either after more use. I did a throw comparison the other night with my JM07, and it seemed the JM07, although driven less at 2.4A (my JM05 clone had a driver swap at 2.8A), a smaller tighter beam and larger SMO reflector, my JM07 seemed to out throw it.

I had some recent tailcap/driver connection issues recently as well with the JM05, haven’t quite identified which yet but it’s got a long weak spring under the driver that could potentially twist easily under too much pressure and make contact with the inner tube. The driver threads are loose which I initially put down to the driver swap, although heatsinking still seems o.k. I also had to raise the driver a little for this reason and put two washers underneath it.

I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but it’s a clone that has imperfections. In future I’ll just pay more for the original me thinks. I’ve heard the 2x26650 clone has some small issues as well from another thread somewhere.

Come to think of it, although the JM05 clone puts out a small tight hotspot, it also puts out a large bright corona and the hotspot does seem a little pale. My guess is a lot of lumens are lost on the corona, which actually makes it a floody kind of flashlight.

That describes my clone too, although I had to fix the tail cap internals to get a battery in. It’s nice in the hand, but just leaves me a bit “meh” tbh. To be fair though, I only paid nine quid for it delivered, for that, its a good light, just not a great light.

On one XML ? That’s impossible, there’s a typo somewhere. Otherwise it does look sharp. If driven at 3 amps or more this would be a gem of a light.
Might Have assembly flaws, but that’s the chance you take with eBay

I think that is the most I have ever seen out of a XM-L. :) Direct copper bonding being direct driven off a IMR 26650 anyone? :D

It’s the new xm-l 2 emitter, 300% more efficient than previous models, runs so cool, it can be mounted on a rizzla paper, expect run times of three days on high…… 0:)

If you believe that I got a bridge to sell you LOL

If your looking for a good eBay light the Keygos M10 is a good choice.
Just remember to tighten the head all the way

Bah! The emitter is bonded directly to the 26650 cell. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry, it appears my sarcasm mode is faulty,

To clarify, I’m well aware that the lumen rating is just a teeny weeny bit over the realm of possibility, I just found it amusing.

That or its the lux rating and has a really poor driver……

Oh, by m10, do you mean this one?

Oh well, with two days to run, yet again, they cancelled the bid and closed the auction.

This is really frustrating, but its happpened a few times now with chinese sellers. Guess they didn’t want to sell it at $1.62 with free shipping :~

Glad I just ordered the new edc host from io, with a u2 I have and ld25 driver, I think I’ll be much happier with this than another eBay clone I have to fix.
