TangsFire 26650

I bought 4 of these cells for my TR-J12 and - so far- they have performed well and provide almost 5 Amp
at the tail of this nice light. (I sure they can NOT provide 5000ma, as stated on the wrapper.)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-TangsFire-5000mAh-3-6-4-2V-26650-Rechargeable-Battery-without-Board-Blue-/190708264906?forcev4exp=true

I would like to see a test done on them, but I havnt been able to find one.

I was just about to start a caution thread about this exact battery, not because of any hazard, but because the capacity is far below the wrapper rating. I expect that with any Chinese batteries the wrapper lies, but this one is particularly bad. I’ll bump your not too old thread instead to keep all the information in the same place.

I got my batch from TMart a few months ago along with an HD2010. link

Using an IMAX B6 and over several charge/discharge cycles I measured 1852mA out of the battery. That’s just sad, I have many 18650 cells with more capacity.

For a budget 26650 I just get the Protected Trustfire Flames from Fast Tech. Two batteries with 4000mAh plus capacity is $15.64 shipped. Ebay is a mixed bag, lots of knock offs and even the sellers can’t always tell if they are any good. They SHOULD actually test each batch before they ship them! So far FT has only shipped me quality batteries, so far.

No need to run a 1800mAh ebay 26650, I hope the OP got decent ones. Best to get a Hobby Charger and know what you have like you did.
