What flashlight can run on 26650 or c cell batteries?

Preferably without a spacer, they share a diameter but ones 65mm and ones 50mm ? On paper that doesn’t work till I get to baseball proportions but with some 26650 cells closer too 68-70mm are there any lights that would fit 3 C cells and run on atleast a low to medium mode for awhile on alkaline or Nimh without a driver swap?

I’m glad I’m not the only flashlight collector out there, I was beginning to think I was strange.

Nice question.
I tried this with Shadow 2×26650 knock offs. It would fit if the tube was 1 cm longer. But they dont fit 2×18650 protected batteries neither. So if someone makes designated 2×26700 torch, it could work. But this might never happen as well.

Trustfire TR-J12

3 × 26650 as per specs OR 4 x C (no spacers required).

Cool looking light, but I think the J12 would be shorter

Maybe, the long original tube runs 5 C’s and the short tube runs 2 × 18650 / 26650 but c’s won’t work in the short tube because length is sort of in-between, if that makes sense.

5 c cells with extender? That’s not all that bad, looks like its already 5c without the extender on the link

Oh yeah, looking again its a 5 c light, so 26650 batteries would only work on dummy cells?

Assuming 65mm per LiIon cell and 50 mm per C cell, a 3×26650 light would have internal space of 195mm. Four C size cells would require: 4×50= 200mm of space. That’s prett much a perfect fit! I messaged Hank from Intl-Outdoor asking about the Roche F-22 and and he said I can order two extension tubes if I wanted. Wouldn’t doubt if you could order extension tubes for other single/double LiIon, 26650 lights as well.

When the money rolls around, I’ll deffinitely buy an F-22 with two extension tubes. Big Smile

Its not an extender, IT is a different tube itself. Sorry for not being clear

Curious, but why would you want a light to work on C cells and 26650’s?

Agreed, I like lights that can use both rechargeable Lithium Ions and batteries I can get from a gas station.

Lol I prefer to use it as a reason to buy a new light. Yeah know what that uses other batteries Wink

I don’t bring my lithium rechargeables to camping, I’m just thinking I’d like a monster light that can work on regular batteries for a bug out bag that isn’t a maglite Wink

It’s just nice to be able to use primaries in a pinch

Because I don’t have 26650 cells now but do have C cells. Just in case there is a black out for days and only C size cells are available in stores… As Shopbot said “flexability” Smile

I have a tr3t6 from manafont wich works with 2 or 3 18650 or 4xAA or 3×16340(cr123a). This is what I call flexibility.
But I have not found this with a number bigger cells yet.

I’m quite happy with the J12 running on C batteries, I have the J18 as a beast light so there’s no temptation (of it needing to be full out)

Plenty of light for dog walking or for scaring off unwanted hoolagens.

So would a 3C mag converted to run a 8.4v driver and LED work with both 3Cs and 2*26650?

Might use one drop in for 3C and another for 2× 26650.

Three Tanna leaves to give him life, nine to give him movement. But what if he eats the whole bag?
