@DX XM-L's on copper stars.

There's some debate on DX as to these being genuinly copper, but it looks about right to me given the effect a finger print has had on the surface.

At $11.90 theres no premium being paid really, so no loss if it turns out not to be.

Hmm, It does kind of look like it's a very thin Alu board on top of a copper one in this photo if you look at the bottom edge, but it could just be catching the light funny as that would be the edge attached to the next star.

Knowing DX, it probably isnt copper... but you never know. According to users of other custom builds, the ceramic package of the XM-L has proven to conduct heat very well to aluminum while being driven hard, and there likely wouldnt be any significant advantages if it were copper mounted.

There would be an advantage from using copper ... If it is copper ?

 Always remember , the easiest thing in the world to do , is to expel hot air from your lungs and through some vocal chords ..
The resulting sound may , or may not be worth listening too ….

What's the point... never gonna ship them anyway or HKP will lose 'em.

Can you tell I've had it with overseas?

The ones with aluminum board says 5g while the ones with rust colored boards says 3g, cannot trust the specs but copper is supposed to be heavier than aluminum.

Now with 100% all natural asbestos!
