The end of an era...

I removed the Resident Evil, Michael Myers, and Jason Voorhees images from my signature.

There are also no mouseovers in my sig.

I realized that not everyone loves scary images or horror movies.

(Mouseovers are also a pain to fiddle with.)

I hope you like my simpler signature, and if not, I hope you understand why I changed it.

Mr. Admin has never said anything to me about scary images on BLF.

I don't pay much mind to what other people think is allowed on the forum.

I just have thought about the subject a lot, and think this is the right move.

RC, your image references to horror movies never bothered me. I am not a horror fan but, that is just a preference. I would never ask anyone or pressure anyone to take anything down because of my dislike for it. Or my fear of a child seeing it, which I don’t have. I have a better idea for folks who think their children may see it. Start being a better parent. Quit letting the internet/social media/cell phones/game boxes/whatever, raise your damn kids, teach them right from wrong, explain the differences between real life and a movie, image, game and so on.

People get way too offended way too quick now days. Oh my, there is a picture of Jason on my computer!!!!!! Don’t let the kids and sensitive people see it!!!!!!! Yeah yeah yeah, I know, it’s on the same media as siamese twin midget tazer porn but I think we can guilt RC into taking down the Jason picture.

I’d put it back up and ignore comments. My dad use to say, “Don’t feed the idiots”. Took me many years to understand what he meant.

Take care.

Good move i.m.h.o., Raccoon City.
It’s consistent with your attitude towards what you deem not suited for a family friendly forum. Thumbs Up

Well, it is what it is, isn’t it.

So what is it?
It’s a test screen mapped on a sphere.

Mine is a picture of a 4-way night jump, back in the day.

That’s actually a really cool look for a sci-fi throwable of sorts, like a grenade or scanner.

Thanks for the reminder set avatar. I chose it more than 10 years ago , on first forum I joined. It was just first in the list of proposed pictures.

I support you Raccoon with the old or new signature. I hate PC language but understand your reasoning. Thanks for being a consistently pleasant part of BLF either way.

Why did you choose your current avatar? I think I had just taken the photo & couldn’t think of anything better.

What is your avatar? the zastava m90np, a Serbian AKM variant chambered in 5.56 which accepts STANAG (AR15) magazines. Basically, an AK with an AR mag well, chrome lined barrel, + a beefy 1.5mm receiver to withstand the pressure of launching rocket grenades. Mine is set up with a folding stock & 1×4 scope for medium range engagement.

Are you planning on changing your avatar? maybe! but probably not. I don’t post often enough that anyone would notice anyway =)

Mine’s an out of focus photo I took of an RGB light strip while I was writing code for it. I just think it looks nice, and it’s slightly related to the forum. I don’t plan on changing it.

Old signature:

Partly new signature:

I know, the new sig's colors don't go together well.

But I found that new image with a reference to flashlights, and I missed Milla Jovovich's umbrella eyes, so a somewhat new sig for me.

Also, I forgot to ask RC: how over the moon are you with the new REmake²? Personally, it’s the most disturbing RE in the entire franchise for me thus far.

I didn't know about it until you mentioned it.

I need to get it for PC, as I don't have a PS4 or Xbox One.

But first I need to play the Resident Evil Remake for PC, which I somehow missed.

My avatar is of the visible light spectrum.
I chose it to mesh with the contents of this forum.
I’ll not change it, as it still applies ….

I added some logos to my sig...

On the left is the Kershaw knives logo.

On the right is the Sony PlayStation logo.

I'm a total Kershaw and Sony fanboy, so I thought it was fitting.

Now it's just one image...
