2000-3000 Lumens

This is what I am looking for in a economical flashlight. Like to keep the price low, but don’t want to compromise on quality. $200 would be the ceiling… Any ideas?

What type of batteries and is this the same 400 yard throw requirement?

I am a very big fan of ThruNite lights, really good quality and although expensive you do get a lot for your money.

Take a look at the TN30.

Yep yep Scaru … What I am just realizing. LOL Mag Light is not the only flashlight company out there… Being new, I wanna see what all brands are available. Many brands so many people refer to in here. I have never even heard of.

If the lumen requirement is a must then TK70 or BTU Shocker (TK75). If it isn't then L3 Illumination K40.

these are just pure lumens... not throwers

NiteCore TM11 Tiny Monster (Amazon)

SWM T60CS (BJ, eBay): CPF coupon code might get 5% off @ BJ.

Stanley HID0109 HID Spotlight (Amazon, Walmart): yeah Ok a thrower, not what you're expecting

Dry (CNQG, FF) - Cheapest all them all. direct drive in high. Beam Shots (here)

TN30 (eBay)

The Dry or TN30 as PineyJustice mentioned would also be my recommendation.

I really like the SWM T60CS…. I was also looking at this as more of a throw away… FandyFire UV-S5 … Dang! I just checked out the K40… I like that one too… Think I’m just gonna ask my wife to get me the T60CS for our Anniversary

I don't think the T60CS will throw as far as you need it to, it is only rated at 370 meters of throw, and that is for .25 lux. It is a pretty bright light though.

Scaru… I couldn’t find a price on the K40… what do they run?

120 dollars.

Use the Blf10 coupon code and get like $12 off. That's a great recommendation. I didn't see till later that you wanted some throw, so I was focused on pure lumens on my post. The K40 will not come near 2000 lumens.

Stanley HID vs. K40 (mouse over).

The K40 wont give you 2000 lumens. Try 1000.
I think the BTU shocker would be best. With its 120kcd and its 3.8A turbo mode that is more than 3000 lumens.

Good deal… I like the thrunite as well… Think I’m gonna give the wife this three to choose from. The Thrunite, the Fenix TK70 & SWM C60 & just let her surprise me

But by all means peeps… Keep suggesting different lights. I might run into one I can’t live without…

Trustfire J18 is a beast, 2400 lumens otf maybe more, and feels well built.
Alliexpress was selling them for $60

8000 lumens really?? Give me one sec! I must converse with my associate!!! SCARU… What say you to these specs on the J18? Hero… no disrespect… Scaru is my go to guy on tech stuff…

You're the only one I see mentioning 8000 lumens. ;) The TR-J18 may be advertised at 8000 but as he said it is around 2400 real lumens. However if you're willing to do a bit of soldering... (This if for the J12 but the same can be done with the J18.

This is the specs given at the bottom of the page on Aliexpress

Well, it could be 8000 lumens if it was fully driven with 3+ amps per LED, it would also get very hot. As the person above you said it is around 2500 lumens stock.

I see… thanx… I clicked over and was reading the specs from the page. My bad…
