Well I’ll be truthfully honest with all of you guys, and it’s like Rick told me on the phone earlier. These overseas companies probably never even look let alone put batteries in it and test the light if you tell them too before they ship the light to you. I would bet money he is spot on.

That’s if you missed his other recent post. (here).  edit: oops… gords beat me by 1 minute

And there may be some other history with Manafront.  I don’t know… just saying.

Too bad for me.  I just started an account with Mana.

In that case….It is quite easy to provide a link to the problem.
Regardless, now I am aware of the issues lately with manafont and wont hand them any of my hard earned money. The main reason to post threads of this content are to warn others in leu of your bad experience, not to make a company look bad with no backing.

I’ll throw this in for what its worth. I had serious issues with the seller mentioned here
and i have also met and continue to do business with a small number of great vendors
from China. I was given some very good advice to avoid issues completely.
Naturally a new light or a custom keep your business with the small but highly reputable
vendors we have here at BLF. Even when there’s a problem it never becomes an ongoing
problem. I just dont have the patient to wait for something that may or may not come
and then deal with damaged or the wrong item. Not let me get back on track..If the item is available
on Fleebay and most vendors have an Ebay operation don’t but direct buy the light on Ebay.
Sometimes its a few bucks more and on occasion you get a good deal and this is
advise from a well known vendor here. Most of the vendors with poor service will
give you a much better experience on Ebay if an issue did surface. Now we all know this
but some reason reluctant to pass an overall better deal for what ever reason.
My guess is most vendors from overseas give much more prority to their
Ebay business than direct orders over the net. Its difficult for them to screw you
on Ebay and maintain bad service. You dont come back from it.

So far its been pretty good advice. I still order from the same small vendors but
when possible i check Ebay ..

Don’t think for a New York minute that it’s Only the oversea’s companies not looking at order details, My wife makes me laugh when she orders something on Amazon and includes the note “Please, deliver to back porch” and expects that it will happen. It doesn’t, so why set yourself up for the disappointment.

Also if you ship something via UPS or USPS, the WORST thing you can do is put “Fragile, handle with care” on that box.
Guess what, if I am working at a distribution center and as fast as I can go, still isn’t good enough for my slave driving Boss and his greedy shareholders and I see your little fragile labeled box come my way, that sucker is going for a ride.

These guys are overworked, underpaid and their job is speed with enough accuracy thrown in to keep their job. That’s it, special notes, well…………they are special.

I got a new light 2 weeks ago and she is rocket, but she did come with 2 very small nicks on the cooling fins near the head. Guess what? I am just glad it arrived alive in a poorly padded envelope from half way across the world,
Did I complain, Nope, don’t care. I got a great deal on something that will get used and will eventually get dropped or come into contact with something.

I have a friend who is a contractor and he changes out work trucks about every 5 years. The first thing he does with a new truck is smack a dent into the tailgate with a tool. He says he needs to get that out of the way so he doesn’t get mad when it happens by accident and screws up his day.
I thought he was nuts at first, but it makes sense actually.

Have a great day everyone!
