Any penlights that accept multiple 10440s?

Don’t know of one. It’d probably be heat limited - this is the usual problem with 10440 lights.

I would be surprised if you find any, the reason is that 2 alkaline AAA requires a boost converter and 2 LiIon AAA requires a buck converter, i.e. the light would only work with LiIon, not with AAA batteries.

And with two LiIon in series you might also get safety issues, especially if people uses unprotected cells.

I have a 2xAAA laser. It will take 2 10440s and run fine but it drains one cell completely and leaves the other almost fully charged. At least that is what happened when I checked voltage after some use.

I ended up making a dummy AAA with an aluminum rod wrapped in electrical tape. Works better and is safer and less damaging to your cells. I’m sure a copper rod would work as well but all I had on hand was a old cleaning rod from my gun cleaning kit.
