Up for sale is this Red Maglite 1D Mule. See the build thread for more info.
It is a 2D Mag, cut down to 1D and the head was cut down as well. It has a glass lens recessed into the head, an XM-L T6 1C led and a NANJG 105C with two extra 7135 chips piggybacked on. The stock Mag switch is used. It runs on 4AA NiMH batteries in a holder, modified with copper contacts. It puts out 3.25 amps at the tail cap reading (with 4 fresh AA Eneloops).
Remember, this is not a factory light. It was modified using hand tools and may not be for everyone. It has imperfections and does not have the type of tolerances found in a factory light. It may not be for everyone. It is a one of a kind, as I never make two exactly alike.
