I have spotted 2 new flashlights at DX and this is how my face has become —
New brand “Goread”… or something… model “C2”
They are some kind of camping lanterns, but at the same time they are flood to throw (I beleive) flashlights…
They have “strange” shape (continuing the weird/strange looking flashlights seen at DX lately), and they have a “hook” to hold them in the upper part of a tent, or something…
Pity they are powered only by 3xAAA, not any Li-ion.
They claim to have XPE R2 and 3 modes (H L Strobe) and the price us 10,80$ each…
I think they look really bad . the tailcaps look funky plastic and pressed in and from what I've heard about the sipik version of this light ..it's an avoid ..I certainly wouldn't want to be the first one buying this one .it looks cheap..i've been wrong before ....just not lately
Looks like they don;t even know how to make a box ..that tail is scary.
i picked up a coleman cree camping lantern, very cool. triangular shaped and collapsible. had a single cree led visible when opened with an inverted reflective cone directly above it for spreading the light in 360 degrees. had high, low, flashing modes. collapsing it automatically turened it off. had a hanger on top to hang it in your tent. really great light until in crushed it. triangles were about 1 1/4 inch on face, about 1.5” high, pulled open to about twice that.
