[01-NOV-2012] Another big backend improvement

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I have once again heavily tweaked the BLF website configuration to support more concurrent users. Hopefully you won’t notice any differences, except for the fact that the max_users limit screen should appear less and performance should be better.

Additionally, we were experiencing an apparently unrelated problem that caused the site to become unresponsive every 30 minutes at the top and bottom of every hour. Our host moved us to a different server which seems to have resolved the issue.

Thanks to everyone for their patience! Have fun.

Thanks, Mr Admin.

Yes, I have been logged off repeatedly this morning.

Thx SB!

I noticed the migration notice early A.M.

Thanks very much for all of the efforts/improvements, Mr.Admin !

Yep, I’m done now. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the improvements!

Ah that’s right. I’ll put it on my list. Thanks!

LOL

Yeah, thanks once again for all the hard work Mr Admin

Thanks SB! Appreciate your efforts! So far seems much more responsive!

Thanks for the time and work

I always access from my mobile on 3g, I can confirm the site seems much faster to access. Nice one sb. 8)

Thank you sb56637! for keep this site running. :star:

Having spent more than a few days sweating bullets while doing system upgrades or reloading data while hordes of users were anxiously waiting the return of our system, I too feel your pain. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks SB,lately site has been going down alot, and I need my daily fix,so good to hear improvements are on the way.

I don’t get any kind of code, the site just won’t load, while other sites will. Or it will load in like 30 seconds. This was happening yesterday in the afternoon central time. Didn’t experience it today though.

Yes, this is what I was observing too every half hour on the mark. It seems to have been resolved now with the server change.

Does this server make my backend look big?

Nice job SB, everything seems to be working smoothly now. Thank you for all the hard work and effort. Be blessed, Ian

Thanks for the effort. Interesting issue for the server company to figure out in the background. At least that one’s not our issue anymore.

I will keep my first thought about “big backend improvement” to myself.
