questions about the Trustfire Mini and working/battery voltage

Ok, so I pull out this CR123a from a point ’n shoot camera that was last used maybe a year ago… the DMM is measuring like 2.1V and the camera turns on… a few of the ads over the web indicate the Trustfire Mini-01 runs on voltage down to .8 so for a test I replace the battery measuring 2.9 or so and throw the old battery in and I get no light.

Is the stat for the Mini bull, is it my DMM (seems to measure other primaries and Li ions ok), or is it something going on in the battery. Thanx

I accidentally ran a 3.2v LifeP04 down to 0.8v in my Mini-01. It charged up and worked perfectly after though.

my efest 16340 went below 2.0 volts before it shuts off. Had to charge using Nimh settings to get back to Lipo settings. Before it shuts off it can do medium and low mode & strobe. Not sure if this will help u or not.

Dead battery under load will read lower voltage and may just not have any current left to supply. Too much sag.
