New Niwalker thrower - NWK1000 - out-throws TN31 updated with pictures

I don’t have too many details, but saw this on their website. Hot on the heels of their NWK600N1 infinitely variable light is their new big thrower, which, I believe, will out-throw the TN31.

No spec yet, but it sure looks nice.

Edit 29 November: Just had some details from Niwalker about this:

NWK1000 uses 4-18650s with battery carrier and 3.8A on the max output.

Emitter not finalised – they hesitate to use U3 as it only increases about 50~60 lumen, but if this is what people they can use U3.

NWK1000 has a control ring at front to adjust the output.

Sequence is far left Strobe>Off>1 lumen>10 lumen>300 lumen>700 lumen>1200 lumen.

Shipping version will look slightly different – a carry handle will come as standard.

The reflector is 74mm wide and 75mm deep for maximum throw.

One thing I like about Niwalker is that they send engineering samples to reviewers before finalising production, and they have apparently done the same here – they are waiting for their reviewer (presumably Selfbuilt) to publish the review, to see if there is anything they should change on the shipping version.

So if there is any good ideas on the design out there, I’m sure they will consider changing their shipping version.

I’ll try to get more details from them.

Infinitely variable ring? On that size light? Is that a first?

My name is indy, and I've been a flashaholic since 2004.

The reflector looks smaller than TN31.

Slight misunderstanding, I think. The NWK600 is the infinitely variable light; I don’t think this one (NWK1000) is – I’m not sure, but reckon this one will be stepped.

I also believe the reflector is wider and deeper than the TN31, so will probably out-throw it.

And yes, Kreisler, decided to take you advice & play with an avatar (didn’t realise the forum software reduced it to size automatically).

I like the design, resembles the new L3/Supbeam X40.... hopefully those cooling fins on the head aren't just for looks... subscribing to this one.

That's flashlights for you... new one comes out every other week almost...

I’ve got a thrower, a flooder, and an EDC too. Still looking for a bigger thrower, flooder, and a new EDC, give or take a few. I’m a flashaholic.

If DD was considered my friends, I would hate to see how my enemies treated me. LOL!

THe one I looked at was www.niwalkerlight.com but I can’t get a connection at the moment. Perhaps that’s why the first image I linked to didn’t work.

Edit – works now. Odd.

I can’t see anything on the page (for the 1000). Nothing loads in.

There is only the photo I showed above. That’s all I saw, but had never heard of it, so emailed them for more information. they responded with the spec details I copied in the OP.

I’ll drop the guy another email about the web site.
