Looking for cheap 18650 extension

I want to try AA cells in place of 2x18650.

Ebay has them for $4.89 shipped (LINK).

Anyone know if this C8 body can be used instead? It’s only $6.68 shipped (LINK).

I understand that whether 4AA will actually work electronically depends on the driver, but in terms of length, is 4xAA close enough to 3x18650 to fit in most lights?

There are extensions made for C8, here or here These should fit C8 body well.

The option for a longer C8 that runs on 4 AA cells is very intriguing. I sold my C8 and may have to get another one so I can have it as an emergency light if things go south again. Let us know how it works out for you. I don't see why it wouldn't. ;)
