The discharge curves does show a good tracking.

EnerPower%2026650%204500mAh%20(Dark%20blue)-TripCurrent

There is a significant difference in the protection current, this is probably the reason for the slight difference in the high current discharge curves.

Conclusion

This battery looks like a good 26650 battery, it can easily handle a 7A load.
It is the best 26650 I have tested until now.

Thanks HKJ. Do you know why these have a rating on them of 3.6 volts?

Nice battery, but these are regular Li-ion, not as safe as the Orange IMR 26650 which is 4000mah & 10 Amp discharge though.

Probably because the average discharge voltage is closer to 3.6 volt, than 3.7 volt at some specified current.

IMR is a safer chemistry, just remember that INR is not.

Without the protection I would also expect these batteries to do 10A.

I do not know when they will be available, but Enerpower know I have published the review.

I’ve just come across these on eBay, I’ll have to cross check the seller before posting the link, they are advertised as in Berlin though, and not cheap either, but look interesting now I’ve re-read the review. Thanks hkj.

That’s Enerpowers eBay shop, I’ve bought a few cells from them, and exchanged emails with Assi about the Samsung INR18650-20R’s I recently bought. Great people to deal with.

Cheers
Matt

Yeah, we need to get a GB together for these monsters.

A quality protected 26650 that is around 68mm? Yes Please.

The Keeppower protected are 70.5mm!

Just had a reply from the seller, they put the wrong labels on (as suspected) and will send me some new ones out.

Why that's even trickier than the Chinese.  Those crazy Germans, trying to pass off a 26650 as a 18650!

The low mode should be lower.

I'm really liking this battery.  I hope Kumabear eventually starts selling them.  The shorter length will be good for my BLF A8.

Try searching for "Tensai 26650" on ebay, that will give you Enerdans ebay outlet.

Cheaper than the E-bay ones I’ve found…

http://store.enerdan.de/gb/li-ion-cells/protected-cells/26650/enerpower-...

If you buy 2 they are about 20 dollars per cell.

That's correct.  His site has tons of useful information.  What's amazing is that it seems like he's increasing the rate in which he's putting out reviews, while reviewing more types of products, and providing more in depth reviews.

The low mode should be lower.
