Thank you so much Garry!!

The coupon LAUNCH works, i think for 5% discount. The other one of 10% is not valid any more.

So far for me:

Ordered 12-18

Shipped 12-20

Processed through sort facility (HK) 12-22

I was impressed that they were able to fill the order so quickly since it was a mixed bag of drivers, cells, charger, flashlight, bare emitters, and waterproof matches...http://www.fasttech.com/product/1134800

Ordered 12-18

Shipped 12-20

At my local Post Office and should be delivered today (12/27).

That's pretty impressive! Why so much quicker though? Maybe the big/older dealers with the larger customer base have larger shipment bundles and those get delayed as they can't fit into over-crowded transport? The newer/smaller seller has smaller parcels that are easier to fit into the transport craft and so are delivered sooner? Are they spending more for upgraded shipping to attract new customers?

However it works, it works well, and during the Christmas shipping traffic jam, and that impresses me... Fasttech is doing something right. Now, just to check out my parcel and see if I got everything as I ordered and in good condition. I'll be posting my results here soon once I get my grubby paws on the package... If they missed my waterproof matches, I'll be sad... Crying

The code does appear to have changed. When I posted this up it did give 10%. I had no Idea how long it would last but it was there. Maybe they will start a new one for 10% again soon. Wink

Packaged arrived!

16 days from order to delivery.  Not what I would call "fast", but no matter.  Well packaged and great price, plus it's the holidays so that may have delayed.  Will definitely order again!

My lights here and here

That’s the best price I have ever seen on the amc7135’s. I actually contacted the supplier at one point in time and tried to work out a deal for a hundred. I could get them cheap but the shipping was killing the deal. It was cheaper for me to buy the DX plain 8-amc7135 board and remove them. Glad to see fasttech selling these at a reasonable price. That says a lot for the company to me. Then they offer discount codes on top of the already good deal. Smile

I used "BLF" as a code today and got a 5% discount with it. My second order. I've been using the "contact us" section to talk to them. They seem on the ball and very helpful, plus very quick to respond. My first order cleared thru the HK post in three days. Now to watch it sit in NY customs for two weeks or better, most likely.

But, that's not Fasttech's fault.

OK, colour me impressed.

Ordered 20/12
Left HK 28/12
Arrived 2/1/13

13 days including Christmas and New Year holidays! This order has landed before the ones I placed back at the beginning December with a couple of other suppliers. I can live with a couple of weeks for new toys to arrive, moving forwards I can see me using FastTech providing the prices are close to the mark. Whilst I need to be prudent I can justify a couple of quid to save a long wait.

Still waiting on my first order. I think I will avoid them in the future. I only ordered because people said they shipped fast. Not in my case. Wallbuys has shipped me items I ordered faster.

My FastTech package or Panasonic 18650's are stuck at ISC San Francisco since the 31st while my other package (a battery Holder also from FastTech) spent only 1 day at the same place. Interesting.

Lets see how long will it take to get here Big Smile

Holy crap. I ordered an XP-G from FastTech last week and it arrived today! They managed to send it from Hong Kong to my doorstep in Kentucky in 7 days. In my experience, after 7 days, my orders from DX or Manafont or ebay would probably still be sitting in customs half a world away. To the FastTech guys: I don't know how you did it but you're doing it right. Don't change a thing. You've earned a customer.

Maybe it's because of the fact we are so used to  long shipping times  that we are so blown away by a company that does it correctly .

Shipping this fast at such great prices makes you want to order more from this company .    i have a few things I'd like to buy from them and  had to stop the urge to place such a small order.. they have created in me a different mentality . I appreciate them as being one of the best companies in china I've ever dealt with.

LOL.. mine is the opposite of yours..

ordered 2X from fasttech.. average is 14 days compare to wallbuys 25 days
the new order from wallbuys during their 50% off is coming faster maybe in 15 days.. that’s with using DHL and extra $30 Sad

Well you guys seem to maybe confuse the time it takes FastTech or any other shop to send the goods to you. Usually takes a couple days.

Then the long waiting is not due to FastTech or any other shop! It’s due to the other service you selected, like an airmail which is cheap, with chinese often free but also undeniably slow. It can take a week or a month or even few. I’ve had goods arrive to me in as low as 5 days maybe up to 3 months (where I already got refunded – eBay).

I’m surprised it takes DHL etc. to get it to you for so long.
If it’s not a rush it’s here from HongKong to Europe in 10-14 days on average. China is a bit different and seems much slower :/

DHL and such, how long do they state it will take it to ship it?
From where to where. As that seems really slow, I would complain with the shipping company, $30 for 2 weeks delivery? Unacceptable. I’ve had a promotion price new product with free shipping sent to me via “DHL next day” inside Europe and it’s been here next day. I didn’t know it’s going via such service I was surprised what the heck did it arrive! Free shipping and they send it via next day delivery. (After waiting 3 months in a queue after it’s release and production, so I wasn’t in a hurry for it.)

Also with all out of your region (USA, EU), take into account the customs. They are filled with stuff to handle during rush times like Christmas. Well everybody is. I wouldn’t be surprised if some stuff arrived in late January if ordered in December. Some years are ok, some are worse, as changes are made to customs.

actually i placed the order on Christmas ( 50% off).. but it turn out they didn’t ship my packages until 1/4/13 Sad
so.. i’m just guessing i’ll get my package 15 days since i placed the order.. is it worth it?
well.. i already saved $150 from those sale.. why not splurge a little for faster shipping.. that way i can play with my lights a lot sooner Big Smile

I have an order coming, and I used the LAUNCH code and got some off. I have heard it is better to use BLF, and somebody said in another thread the the new code is GOTECH. So I don’t know if LAUNCH expired, BLF works all the time, or if the new code GOTECH is to be used. I order about 70 worth of drivers, panasonics, emitters, etc…

DayLighter: it’s been holidays, no wonder they ship it in January. Most shops and places are closed during last week in December.
Placed my order yesterday evening, today start of afternoon, shipped with a tracking number. So IMHO it’s at least packaged and marked and maybe even at the post office or will be today. That’s 1 day from order to shipping, I’m satisfied. Now it’s up to the post to get it here.

GOTECH is old and doesn’t work anymore.
LAUNCH gives you a discount on all products.
BLF gives you a discount of the same % on certain products, batteries yes, some other things not.
CPF same as BLF. <— tried it and it showed the same discount.

You can actually try the codes when you have stuff in your cart and see the discounts, simple and easy, I like!

Haven’t had time to try some more, any ideas or luck guessing codes?

What could be changed is the limit for registered shipping, though the price for it is reasonable. Under $15 you have to pay some cents to get registered shipping, depends on how much is there left up to $15, the closer you are the less you pay for registered shipping.

I like to keep my orders low, because of the $29 (22€) limit in EU to not pay for the customs. Otherwise it’s immediately +$8 +20-22% tax.

I think someone who is a regular long time poster on this forum should start an official FastTech thread that can be edited a little over time.. Im not the person for it since I am on and off.
Im talking about a Sticky Rating type of thread…
Looks like this store should get on get a “recommended” approval… at least if they don’t mess up for many people in the future…
I have not used them myself, but have read through these pages and done a lot of browsing on their site. They seem to be good. So far i have this impression

Pros:
-Good looking layout – nice design and pictures (spec sheets seems decent too)
-Lots of cheap DIY stuff (leds, drivers, etc)
-Generally low prices
-Fast shipping (for a Hong Kong store)
-BLF discount (5% if using “BLF” code on flashlight stuff)
-They have a member on this site

Cons:
-?

Neutral
-Customer support seems good, but I has to be reviewed over time
-Limited amount of more “pure” enthusiast flashlights (Have not seen cool unique flashlights. Not that many “high-end budget lights”. Where are (XM-L) neutral white lights?)
Edit 1 day later: But decent lights and new lights seem to come in all the time… I have seen driver options and led options..

I am happy with them. Fast shipping and some good prices. I’m not really a big fan of the search engine though. It’s too specific I would prefer to be able to simply browse.

I really can’t complain though.

I’m a junky, I mod lights so I can sell lights so I can buy more light to mod so I can sell lights to buy more lights to mod.

I will add my order to the list that shipped within a day or so. Just ordered a few drivers and AMC7135s and now that I have they listed the 380mA version.

Ordered 03.01.13, shipped 04.01.13, paid for registered mail, tracking number at HK post says: The item is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 9-Jan-2013.

What does that mean, that its still in HK?
