Any way to make my Romisen RC-G2 tailstand?

Just received a new Romisen RC-G2 III R5 from shiningbeam (super fast service too!). Kinda wishing I had looked for a light that would tailstand. Is there a simple DIY trick to make it do that? I’m thinking I could pop a diffuser on it and make a quick little area light out of it when needed.

Have you tried an oring between the rubber boot and the tailcap?

cup?

Not sure I picture what you mean…? Wedge a super fat o-ring down in the tailcap? SAme thing about a “cup” - not sure what you mean…?

I don’t have the G2 on hand to take a pic, but you unscrew the switch, remove the boot,go to store and get a thick oring or gasket that fits and is thick enough to lower the button height enough to tailstand, reinstall the boot, the button will be recessed now because of the oring and finally screw back the switch assembly.

Hope I made sense.

yup, makes sense. I didn’t know I could do that so will check it out! Thanks!

If the stock boot is 14mm diameter, you can replace it with a 14mm X 6mm boot and your light will tailstand.
