I got a pile of batteries in one envelope, not the best way to ship batteries, even when they are shrink wrapped. Efest have changed their packing.

These has slightly less capacity than the V1 batteries, but does track nicely. At high load they do also have slightly lower output voltage than the V1 batteries.

Conclusion

These IMR batteries have good performance at high loads, but the capacity is, of course, not that high.
At the current time I can only rate them acceptable, because Efest is a new company, and the batteries is not from one of the big brands.

580mAh .. and they label it with “700mAh”? outrageous.

i got 830mAh out of Trustfire flames.

AVOID-tag on Efest.

1. Trustfire flames are not IMR
2. AW 16340 is 550mAh yet it’s labelled 750mAh, but.. does anyone avoids AW for that reason?

Ah, methinks Kreisler forgot to add a Wink to his comment.

I have a couple of the flat-top V1 14500 (had to dig one out to see what version it was). Alas it doesn’t fit in my SE-1 – OK in Xeno E-03.

I didn’t even know there were two versions, and thought I’d missed a review, until I realised you’d posted the two together today. Great stuff as usual, HKJ, thank you.

Incidentally, I’d a delivery last week from one of the Efest companies – 6 Panasonic 3100mAh cells were placed inside individual Efest 18650 cardboard boxes. Could still have done with a little bubble wrap, so nice to hear that they are improving the packaging.

I cannot write an answer as fast as Kreisler can delete his post Smile, but here is a comparison between TrustFire and Efest:

For high power lights I will definitely prefer the Efest battery with the much higher voltage.
