I got a pile of batteries in one envelope, not the best way to ship batteries, even when they are shrink wrapped. Efest have changed their packing.

Conclusion

These IMR batteries can handle high loads, but has a slight difference in capacity, i.e. care must be taken not to run one battery down.
I will rate them as acceptable.

what is the max discharge current of these batteries, does anybody know? I want to drive 2S with mt-g2 at approx. 7 Amps I estimate.

I wouldnt go over 5C, so 4A. But 7A? That might be too much, even for the MTG2.

Thanks for this review, I got a pair of the button tops, it took 13 days after email notification of order completion to receive items. Each cell came in a nice little cardboard box. I am using these to replace AW 16340s and the Efest 18650 still pushes out a little more current so the initial impressions are good.

I am using 2S direct drive on a noctigon MTG2 and with full charge, I am getting 5.5A at turn on.
