That is an awesome rig, I wish we had more turbo diesel options for offroaders in the states. I love my old XJ Jeep it was next to impossible to find a stick shift 4.0 liter 6 banger it took me almost 2 years of searching.

I am already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
It’s under tyred and needs an intercooler, and the pump turning up but I got it for less than the average price of a stocker. Stick my winch on at weekend then its ready for the school run…..
I have got 2 of these battery cases for 12 AAs each. They are really nice made. It looks and feels very sturdy. The inside is made of rubber, so the batteries don’t rattle inside. Protected 14500 fit also nicely. http://www.batteryjunction.com/tpea-taacase.html
A quite big SMO reflector, but very tiny overall. The switches could be a bit more sensitive for my taste, but the UI sure is a winner. Another interesting part is the tailcap thread. Steep, wide and square cut, it needs just one turn to close the cap. The red power indicator light flashes once all six seconds, making it easy to find the flashlight in the dark. This can be either switched off, or permanetly on. The strobe and SOS modes are hidden.
I will probably get the 2AA version too.
I got a UniqueFire UF-V1 from Tmart today. It’s a really sharp looking light and very bright can’t wait for dark….

That’s way too much that they are asking for that light. You can get it on ebay easily for $16-$23. Tmart need to drop the price majorly. Awesome little light though!

I just looked on ebay and here’s what I came up with, I know there are cheaper ones and then you have the SkyRay version the A0 or something like that….
I got my skyray king today…I think I have as bright a flashlight as I will ever need. This thing is being noticed by people a whole city block away! Best purchase I have ever made ( except for that 1979 Honda CBX demo a grand under list). I am waiting on it to get dark,,,but will there ever really be darkness again? Yeah, I like it.
On April 27th I ordered some 1A boards with and without mcu’s from Dx along with 8 35mm op reflectors. In may I got the boards and finally today I got the reflectors. Also picked up some 1/4” Alu plate stock from local scrap yard. A couple of days ago I received some 5V voltage regulators that look just like amc 7135’s.
I initially ordered the boards for sandwich makings(I sometimes have toast) but I’m also trying out an alternative plan for making smoke that makes use of the voltage regulator chips.
The reflectors and plate are for a 7 or 8 x XML dive light that I may attempt to reflow to copper slugs that are then set into the plate.
I also picked up an order from Kd that included some of those little stator spacers for XML’ and some for xpg’s along with 2 uv dropins and 2 bare blue LEDs. The “violet” dropin is pretty dim. The stators fit the chips very well and have a slightly raised circle that seems to fit well in xre holes. If the direct reflow does not work out, I may be ordering 8 16mm round XML bare boards. The pills for the dropins do not have the same thread pitch as the 35R’s. Looks like the dropins are 24tpi and the 35R’s are 32tpi or similar metric sizes.

Three Tanna leaves to give him life, nine to give him movement. But what if he eats the whole bag?
I got a box of cool stuff for my lathe. A couple of nice sets of cutting tools, a live center and a bunch of really nice pieces of stock to get started with. All courtesy of ChicagoX. That was one very heavy package. My wife tried not to let on but she was a little worried about what I may be up to when she lifted that package from the box. Thanks CX, a very nice gesture from a nice guy.

I got my UFH6 yesterday. 5 Days 12 hours from order to delivery. That has to be a record.
Today I got my fandyfire hd2010 3 xml from Tmart. Nice 3xml but I don’t need it. Only bought it as I got a giftcard.
UniqueFire UF-S7. Bright. Bright. Bright. I’m running it on 2 26650s now. Its debatable between this one an the TRJ12 just eye balling it.
That one’s on the top of my list. I have $74 in MF ponts now, and I’ll be using those to pick up a multi-XML flooder and the S7 looks like it should do nicely. How about a full review? 8)

Keepin’ the “B” in BLF

It sounds like the XM LEDs won’t really be suitable for flashlight use. Pity…
How much force did you use? If it's been a grey protected TF10440 - they're too -beaucoup- long. But you can solve that quite easy, just make a little split ring out of a paperclip and put it into the head. The split ring has to be small enough to get it in there and big enough to be hold in position by the threads: !http://i.minus.com/ibviPiRFCDeeXt.jpg![/quote]
Nice foto Horst, nice split ring! it looks so kreisl-round, how did you do it? Amazing handicraft. I've quoted your post in the E09 review for reference. this is maybe even better than copper sealing washers!

UniqueFire UF-S7. Bright. Bright. Bright. I’m running it on 2 26650s now. Its debatable between this one an the TRJ12 just eye balling it.
