Thanks for the tip JohhnyMac, I was skeptical if I should do it, but I suppose there isn't much to it to re-seat the reflector... oh and this light really rocks!!! Silly Can't wait until it gets dark here to try it out!

Just noticed a funny thing... the SOS wrong... it's supposed to be 3 short, 3 long, 3 short, and on mine it goes 3 long, 3 short, 3 long... so it's an OSO not an SOS... lol anyone else's behaving like this?

You're welcome for the tip.  As for the SOS, I'll have to check mine.  I thought it was correct but now I'm sure if it was another light or not I checked recently.  If it is wrong it doesn't matter much anyway since I never plan to use it.

What do you have for the rest of your system.

A DIY amp put together based around the LM833 and LM1875 chip amps, mostly scratch built with my own etched PCBs and design. I put it together at home during my first year at high school. Still working great, but I've added a sub amp with parametric equalisation for a sub which is a 8" poly driver which with eq goes down to a usable 35-40 hz. Nothing spectacular but does the job. At least you can get decent amplification rather cheaply, but where money needs to first be spent in a budget sound system is on good speakers.

I got my ultrafire t50.

So far so good. The sitting of the tail magnet onto metal surface is cool. But gotta lay it there carefully. If I happen to slep it there with the slightest of force. The light turns off.

How bright is bright enough...

I got my free laser pointer from the dailyshop. Thanks Jennifer. The laser focuses into a dot, astronaut, happy feet and a spaceship. Two LEDs put out 3.7 lumens. The kids like it.

My wife made 4 orders from ali express on the 12 May from 4 different sellers. 2 arrived today and 2 yesterday. That is pretty good I think (apart from the fact they were not for me)

That's a good "master". I recommend to get also some inexpensive off-camera "slaves" to allow more creative lighting.

I have three of these and I'm very happy with them (for $41 you can't go wrong). Just position them to some nice angle, set to optical slave mode (+ adjust the desired amount of light) and shoot with your current flash: When the in-camera flash is fired the slaves are automatically triggered, giving you the desired amount of light from desired directions.

Here's good place to start reading about your soon-to-be addiction: strobism.

Back on topic: I got Thrunite T30 (For $34.95 it was a steal! A very nice light with moonlight mode and nice UI), Romisen RC-C3 NW (Nice small light with perfect tint, recommended. But has unbelievably ringy beam - especially for a OP reflector!), and replacement driver for my SWM R01A (Special thanks to Sunwayman & Battery Junction for delivering me one!)

a Sunwayman V10R Ti from intl-outdoor.com. Well, I suspect it to be a fake item. The imprint on it is somhow bad made and there is no serial number. Other than that it performs well and it came with all the usual accessories and warranty certificate. Still, I'm not willing to simply accept it the way it is. I will make some fotos today and contact the customer service.

Yeah, I'm curious too.  I can't wait until cheap clones of the SWM come out with the variable brightness rings on them.

What I got today was a new record for me and very impressive. I ordered 3 XML 1A tint U2s on 16mm boards and one on a 14mm board from LCK LED on May 14th at 3 am I got them today May 24th 10 days later. Crazy fast shipping if I do say so, by far the fastest order from China I ever got beating my previous record a twelve day Manafont order by a full two days.

I will add these are by far the brightest XMLs I have ever got and they have a very even beam color, well worth the extra couple dollars they cost over the cheaper garbage that's out there.

You know, I never even realized they were located in China.  Every time I've ordered from them I've received my stuff in days.  I always assumed they were US based.Surprised  Ridiculously great service from them...always!

After my initial 2 orders from CNQG vanished into thin air a couple months ago, Ric recent them both in one package and they arrived today (mostly, a few XM-L 1C and an XP-G are back ordered) and I have lots of blank p60 pills, some blue GITD tail caps, some new TIR optics to try, a reflector the same size as the TIR optics to test out, some PCB blanks in 30mm & 17mm sizes, some white silicon diffusers in large & small sizes, and a few XM-L 3C emitters.

I also received a Beamtech BT-950L that I'll be reviewing in a few days.  Initial thoughts are promising with only one initial disappointment (lens o-ring related).  The best part is I ordered it from Tmart on the 21st and it arrived today, the 24th!!! SurprisedSurprisedSurprised  The other surprise is it arrived wrapped in a bubble bag (not the surprise) inside the usual white box (still not the surprise) but get this...the box was uncrushed or dented in any way (there's the surprise!).  You could actually give it as a gift in the white box it arrived in. Surprised  And of course the host itself is free from any scratches, dings or chips.

The next package was from BIC and contained an iPad2 window/desk mounting kit, a touch stylus, and a 4-pack of glass nail files for the little lady (one was broken Frown).

With any luck this will be waiting for me when I arrive home this afternoon.  Yes, sir!  A fine day indeed!

Have a look at my EX11.2 review from a while back. This was when I started to get used to the idea, and it gives you great pictures for pretty minimal effort.

Just received 4 Keeppower 3100mAh cells from eBay . Accepted $21 a pair for two pair. Sent registered, only took 10 days from order date.

Also received two Xtar WK30 "beloved" single AA lights - in purple and gold.  Ordered yesterday morning, and Torch UK (affiliated to Xtar distributor in the UK).  Only $12 each.  If I had planned to keep them when I ordered them, I changed my mind when I opened the box.  These will make early Xmas presents for someone (female).

Sorry for delay in getting back - Torch Direct are here:

They are really efficient - it was free shipping to UK because order over £10, but shipping to Greece would be £5.95. I've used them about three times now, and get everything the next day.

I only had a quick look at the WK30 - quick enough to see they needed some lube on the thread, and to determine that I didn't want to keep them myself!  Don did a review a year or so ago here.
