.99 cent w/ free shipping arctic cooling MX-2 thermal paste 1.5 gr

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=350660033511 from mwave.com

thanks… i ordered 2

Is this better than arctic silver?

It has similar performance to Arctic Silver, but MX-2 has very high viscosity. (very thick)

Thanks for the heads up.

Just in time! Thanks for the heads-up, and a “bump” to anyone else needing a thick high performance thermal paste. Great price and non-conductive.

Listing has ended!

listing ended and shipping was $43 to canada LMAO

Dang, missed it.

1.5K sold?

I think the seller made a typo or something… :open_mouth:

Also 1 for 1.99, so if you missed the last deal, you pay 1 buck more!
Still not bad!
Only 1 per costumer

it has a durability of “at least 8 years”? Meaning that it may need to be removed and re applied beyond that point? :quest:

Thanks for the notice, but both either didn’t ship out of US or had ridiculousness rates.
How’s Tokyo?

I think 8 years of life isn’t that bad. Technology, whether it be CPU’s or LED’s, probably will be outdated soon.

Yes, just noticed that as well! I really thought it was worldwide free shipping, my bad.
It’s cold here!

Haha, no problem.
Very frosty here too… I think it’s one of the coldest winters ever!

Looks like I got lucky. mwave.com has this sale from time to time and sells them till they are out of stock. The trick is to be lucky enough to find out when the sale is on.

Durability refers most probably to something like shelf-life/storage under good conditions/temperatures without changing viscosity. Once this stuff is applied it should last virtualy for ever.

BTW For good thermal transfer you only needs tinyest quantities
Its meant only for filling the microscopic gaps between two already
flat contact areas like CPU/LED and Cooler

The other advantage of this over AS5 silver is that it is non capacitive.

Already shipped with tracking number… typical mwave performance.

No! All thermal goops have a limited working life. The carrier fluid evaporates, dries out, migrates, sublimes, turns to stone, etc. Some well known industrial versions state a working life of 500 hours! In Bridgelux’s thermal management ap note (http://bridgelux.com/assets/files/AN10_Thermal_Management_of_LED_Arrays.pdf) they recommend you do not use thermal paste.

Good point JML! Its amazing how many people fry/overheat their CPU’s on OC forums because they fail to read simple instructions.
