WTS= Big aspherical lenses, giant reflector mirror, SR95UT driver & switch

New,

added some modding parts from Olight:

  1. SR95 UT Momentary switch - This is modified to fit in maglight, momentary switch is needed for all taskled drivers for mag.
Include the Olight button that fits the mag hole. $20 shipped.

2. Olight SR95UT 9 Amp driver, runs on two or 4 lion, fresh new Teflon/silver coated copper 20AWG wires,
requires momentary switch to function. The only other true 9A driver is Dewitchel CPF, which costed $63 to US last time I ordered one.
This driver asking $30 shipped. For spotlight mod use, too big for mag.

Modding parts left over from my Mega Blaster project a few yrs back:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?304040-Mega-Blaster-My-first-short-arc-mod-MegaRay-style

Left 4.5” lens, bottom is concave, some chips along the edge, $20 -SOLD
Middle, 3.5” aspherical lens, PCS flat bottom side, $20 ——————————-SOLD
Right, the same 3.5” aspherical lens still mounted in the bezel. it has mounting rings and cab be, the bazel diameter is ~5” —$40 —-SOLD
These lens came out of Bausch & Lomb stage spotlight, very high optical quality, better than what you get from DX or Edmund optics
The focal length is longer than typical aspharical lens. The two lens can be combined together to reduce focal length & achieve 4.5” lens power with bigger spot for dual aspherical lens projection spot light mod, or used them as giant magnifier lens to zap some bugs.

Back, giant 8” reflector mirror from Cruis Hinds searchlight used in my Swan Blaster project, when paired with a rear facing DLP projector lamp, it did 16 million cpse (focal length about 6”). - $40 —-SOLD

Shipping in US is flat $5 for any number of lens, $9 for the Mirror reflector.

Ma_sha, I need your advice. I have always wanted to make one of those XR-E throwers that has multiple lenses, I remember someone made one on CPF. It was basically a pole with: an XR-E attached, a lense in front of that, and a lense in front of that.

So would these work well for that type of thing?

Will these fit any of my throwers? Tk70 or btu shocker?

Dale, you wouldn't want to use an aspheric lense with a multi-LED light. Then none of the LEDs would be at the focal point.

+1

+1… i tried them already… it wont focus as one… BUT three brighter ones

It’ll work, mount the big one up front & the 3.5” behind it, it’ll give bigger image than single lens,
move the distance between the two lens will change focus and spot size.

Hmmm... Now I would need to find a way to hold the lenses. I'll think about it. Thanks for the advice though. :)

The big lens is about the same diameter as the holder of the 3.5” lens, just need to grind the holder slightly to fit the lens in to create the dual lens system. Basically give you the front end of the 7000lumen/5 million cp mega blaster, I can do the mounting service for free.

:This could be used for super throw led or short arc & HID mods, or simply hold in front of your led flashlight to play with & see what if…

So you will mount the lenses? Is that what you are saying? If so, I'll take it! I don't what I'll do with it yet; but I will do something! PM sent.

If Scaru changes his mind I’ll go back up for the double lens - might take that last 3.5 inch aspheric lens tho.

Scaru PM replied with paypal address

2. Olight SR95UT 9 Amp driver >>> Could you measure size?

OMG,the olight driver is a rare offering-if I wasn't cash poor right now I would jump on this.GL with sale Ma_sha!

about 2x2”

Just sent paypal for the lenses. :D

Thanks, All the lens are sold. Only the Olight momentary switch & 9A driver remain,

FYI, the 9A driver is 8V. OLight SR-95 UT battery set-up is 2S 3P, 8V. 6x18650 Li-ion.

Scaru, I mounted the lens & shipped it.

FYI, I glued the rim in my Mega blaster mod but I left it open for you, you can decide what to do, perhaps glue it only when you finish your project, I grind the inside edge & drop the lens in & taped the seem, can be easily taken out, don’t drop it lol.

Sweet! Thanks ma_sha, can you confirm that I did my calculations right in this?

I'm think I should do an XP-E2 rather than a XR-E now...

Calculation looks correct, another thing to look into, as you are not going to build a light running 350ma, is which one can overdrive better.

True, I'm probably actually going to try out an XM-L with it since I have a ton of them; but still interesting.

Hypothetically a XR-E would be better for aspheric lenses due to the narrower viewing angle, and a XP-E2 would be better for reflectors due to the wider viewing angle.
