how to charge a Li ion with imax b6 charger

the battery in question is a li-ion 1500mah 7.4v looks like two cell. It is from a Syma s033g helicopter and the stock balancer/ chargers i have had keep breaking.

I have an imax b6 charger i use for my lipo’s for my multi copter.

Can someone please advice me to the settings i can use to charge this battery with the imax b6 please.

Hope i posted this in the right place.

It is a 2 cell Lithium. Is it really Lion or Lipol? It doesn’t matter much though.
You should connect the battery to the balancer and to the main output of the charger.

If it’s Lion or you just don’t want to push your Lipo to the max, set the charger in program settings to Lion. It should charge to 4.1V.

Go to Lion mode, select balance charge, set the Amps according to your battery specifications, you should be fine with 0.5C, lets say 0.8A, select 2S 7.4V, hold the start button and confirm the detected number of cells if it matches your 2S selection. Let it charge till it stops.

You should use a liposack bag for safety measure and also check the settings of your charger like the charge, time, temperature limit. If you have a temp. probe, attach it to the battery.

Otherwise, don’t buy lipos and chargers you can’t operate. Youtube is your friend, there is tons of instructions on how to charge with these chargers.

ok thanks for your reply  i have got it to start charging now. I was connecting both balance lead and means connectors and getting a beeping and message after a few seconds, but now just using power leads without balance cable and all seems fine so far
