powerfull Hid thrower needed

theres an idiot at work who has a tk75 :frowning: . He is the most annoying sob iv ever met . I introduced him to led lights !!! . i knew my skyray wouldnt compete against it when he told me he was gona buy the fenix tk75 so i was hoping to purchase the BTU to stay ahead of him .Since btu has fallen way below expectations ( i was hoping Ric would was right when he said it would have 800 meter + throw) i need you guys to recommend me a hid thatl beat the crap out of his tk75
This is like a cold warand i need a titan missile with wiith multiple warheads if need be to beat the soviets asap !!!
so im going nuclear since no conventinal bombs i mean flashlights can beat his tk75
Outright . i mean the diffrence in output should be massive.RECOMMEND ME A HID ANd WHERE TO PURCHASE IT FROM ASAP ( im in vancouver) !!! budget is $200 max . Thanks!!!

Find you a Power On Board 35watt HID, or a clone to it. Or even a 85watt HID ebay light will whip the TK75.

Here’s a photo of my POB 35watt HID at 300yds.

That’s just warming up for this light.

Here’s 445yds.

Here’s the other one that will be here today. I bought it for $40 shipped. LOL!

You won’t find too many lights that will beat these.

oHh Yehh dats wat im talking about ! we have our showdown in the parking lot . Its still dark at 6 when we come for work. and my skyray king did me proud ! it fought its guts out agaisnt a light twice its size . As far as spill goes it stood its ground
just got beatup at long range shoot out :frowning:

Here’s a picture from my 85watt HID flashlight 4300K bulb.

300yds

Trust me a I doubt very seriously if my TK70 I used to have would beat this 85watt HID flashlight for spill. But it would be pretty close. But for throw this light would smoke it.

holy smokes ,these hids sure throw some serious output. well .i think i need somthimg 85 watts and up .
thanks for the pictures IFL

This looks like a rather powerful HID thrower:

Your welcome. Let me know what you come up with. Just a word to the wise on the 85watt HID lights. Make dang sure you buy from a reputable seller with as high of feedback you can get. Most of all the ebay sellers who sell these lights don’t have the greatest feedback. And if you see one for much less than a $100 shipped it more than likely might be a scam.

I’ll show you one more of the 85watt HID 4300K flashlight at 445yds behind my house. This was manual exposure 2 sec shutter, f/4, ISO 200. This is pretty dang close to what you will see in person.

This will let you more appreciate how far that barn really is with no zoom. I am back about 25yds or so more in this picture below.

ok thanks !

does this seem okay???

Well that depends on how much they want to ship. I wouldn’t pay more than $125 shipped for one. All these lights are about the same. But I would recommend a 4300K bulb. But that is your call. If you buy one with a 6000k bulb which is what most of them will have typically and if you order a 4300K bulb/ballast separately it will cost you right at $32 shipped. That’s what I paid for mine off ebay to put in my other HID light.

All these big HID flashlights on ebay are from what I can tell exactly the same. The YEZL 38/50watt light I traded with rikr on here is the exact same machined flashlight as the 85watt ebay HID. Now there may be other type lights that may be different, but the one you just showed is the one I am talking about. It’s the exact same light I have.

its $130 . Now im thinking for $20 more i can buy a btu. :frowning: . i cam repair it if it breaks but if this hid goes kaput tuen im screwed

The HID lights come with a rechargeable battery and plug. The BTU requires batteries and a charger which are no small expense if you buy quality.

Trust me get the HID 85watt flashlight. It will chew up and spit out the BTU shocker. The only shock the shocker will be gettting is when it gets its butt whipped by the 85watt HID.

I am getting ready to buy a Fenix TK75 though. I still love my LED flashlights. They are more practical. But I’m loving these HID’s lights even more.

If you really want to have a beast of a thrower, buy you a Power on Board 35watt HID. It’s about like having 3 85watt HID flashlights for throw.

i ordered the btu cool white U2 :frowning:
Paypal gave me a gift $15 . So it only cost me $135 !
The his i was after was somthing like the polarion ones . but these are beyong my finacial reach so the btu it is . Il give it a fair review once i get it . i will eventually buy a HID one day …. somthing with a 2 mile throw muahahahah

what site do i buy the power on board hid?

LED is the way to go. Else your colleague will show you his TK75 on and off 10 times in 1 minutes. Beat him in LED will win easier. But BTU won’t get you there as when he compare his user interface, clear AR lens and battery carrier with your BTU, your BTU will be like sub standard flashligth. BTU throw better, but TK75 flood better. So can only compare their cosmetic appearance and material used at the end. Just my view on this.
