I can’t comment on them been fake or not, But they are not that cheap. Fasttech have them cheaper
And the charger as well for a few dollars. By the way I have 2 of these chargers and they are very good. A bit of a tight squeeze for protected cells but a great charger.

I would go for the Sanyo 2600. In tests they came out on top as the Panasonic’s need to be discharged down to 2.5v to get full capacity. Also the Sanyos held a higher voltage. The Sanyos are cheaper as well.

What tests are you referring to?
Everything I have read shows the 18650B’s to have great capacity and current, specially the unprotected.

Here if you read this you will see that they only give full capacity if charged to 4.35v and discharged to 2.5v. The problem with this is most chargers cut off at 4.21v and most torches will cut off at 3v. So you can’t get the full capacity of 3400mah.
I will try to find the charts comparing all of the cells. It shows the Sanyo keeping a higher voltage during discharge.

What does unprotected means? It can poof or someting?
Just give me a nice protected, not overly priced battery and a charger for my totally non flashaholic bro whom I will give an E35.

Protected batteries (i.e. a battery with a protection circuit board added at the negative end and the entire cell re-wrapped) have protection against over-charging, over-discharging, and short circuiting. The protection is only as good as the protection circuit.
Those are good batteries. I would choose either the 3100mAh version of the Panasonics or possible these protected Sanyo 2600mAhs for lower cost (with minimal loss of capacity).
EDIT - you keep updating your post as I post! ( :) ) I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2800mAh Sanyos vs. the 2600mAh's - anyone?

Good cheap charger? Hmm . . . from FastTech I would choose one of the Miller ML-10X versions (though you'd need power adapters/USB cables). The ML-102 adds the ability to recharge other devices by USB with a battery placed in it. Or you could choose one of the Nitecore chargers.

That’s great Gary!! All I needed. All I need is a decent smart charger for handling the 2 cells! Any idea? Nitecore i4? i2? Anything good and cheaper?
Posted as I was typing. Having to look carefully at it The nitecore i2 seems a better deal. I would not want to use USB to charge those things. I want them as far away as I can from a laptop/PC!
