[Resolved] "Authentic Strider" at Fasttech??

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1901/10002792/1208202-authentic-strider-fixed-blade-nylon-sheath-hunting

This is either the deal of the year or one of the loosest interpretations of the word "authentic" that I've seen.

A genuine Strider small fixed blade knife goes for between $150 to 250. Fasttech has theirs for less than $10.

I didn't mind Fasttech selling the Ultrafire battery wrappers, but I don't know about this.

[Edit]: FT rep was notified and all references to Strider have since been removed from the item description and photos. Good job Fasttech!

Nope, no way that’s a real strider. If it was $120 I would still be very fishy about it.

Still think I may pick one up, bead blast it and put a fresh edge on it. Think it’d be fun and a badazz lil knife!

Why would an American company ship their knives to China to sell for 1/10th what they are worth. There is no way in hell this is real. Period.

Maybe they should replace the word “authentic” and instead use “replica”.

If it was 440C steel it would be ok for the price, but for 440 pot metal, no thanks. it’s probably not even 440 I bet it’s 420j2 which is not good at all.

It’s not like people will be deceived at that price point. I think it was more of an error on their part rather than them trying to sell replicas as fake. I’m sure if someone contacted them about it they would change it.

I dont think FT was planning on fooling anyone and priced the item appropriately. Perhaps a friendly email without full blast would have

been appropriate. TF wrappers and a knife considering they are a HK based company, its pretty good...Just my 2cc's

I gotta hand it to the guys/girls at FastTech… they seem pretty responsive to these kinds of concerns.

Might just order me a few toys.
