UltraFire "T90" / TrustFire X6 clone at Wallbuys

Wallbuys has listed an UltraFire T90 (not the lantern style UF-T90). This one takes 26650’s like the one on Lightmalls but it’s $17 less on WB.

Very close to pulling the trigger on this one… I almost snagged the Lightmalls one last week, but I held out.

Welcome the night.

This is a classic light. One day soon, they will be gone, forever. Been thinking about it, but I am a flashaholic, and “it is just one more light….” Lowest price, yet…just noticed — I didn’t think the TR or any clone every took 26650 batteries —- must be a typo,,, scaru where are you???

I don’t think it’s a typo. They even show the adapters for 18650 cells, same as here

Welcome the night.

actually, wallbuys is cheaper than fasttech on a few things. unfortunately, not as FAST

i’m wondering if this can be used, w/ out altering components, in 2 cell configuration

Yeah, mine takes 18650s and 18650s only. But it doesn't surprise me that they made a 26650 version, IMO that is an improvement there was definitely enough room.

Take “9T6” means 9xT6. It’s understandable in that case for huge head. As you mused, such huge head for a single LED only means awesome throw. Btw, 8cm head is roughly 25% bigger than that of HD 2010.

They’ve only had the product for a few days, no way anyone received it yet. This kind of sneaky tactic is very bad, unacceptable.

Welcome the night.

its almost like some of these vendors just cant help it. DD was the same way. stealing photos from users, fake reviews, poor quality control and shipping. but they have no problem giving refunds. its almost like its cheaper to send the wrong item then give you a full refund then it is to just send you the right item to start with.
dont get me wrong, if i see a deal at DD, i will still jump on it. worst that can happen is i wait for a wrong item, and get my money back and a “whatever the chinese lottery picked” item

Well, if he felt it was only 1500 lumens, and obviously did this by eye, clearly it’s underdriven to maybe 6a at best.

If the timestamps are accurate, those were all posted within 36 seconds.

Thanks for the heads-up on their deceptive actions; they just earned a spot on my do-not-buy list.

welcome

yeah, me too. well, they were already on it until I receive my xmas sale order anyway…

I sent them a message informing them that it is unacceptable and that they’re losing customers among members here. Not for any particular reason other than that I like to let someone know when they think they’ve deceived me, but have failed, miserably.

I requested this unbranded x6 and the new 3 emitter skyray at fasttech. There goes ~$130 wallbuys lol

That’s got to be the fasted order to ship time for WB ever! Just under 24 hours. I guess I’m getting a “1500 Eurpoean lumen” light after all.

Proof the second review is fake: “Packaging is great too – internals close to cases used in professional cinema. Batteries and charger included. Strap, spare rubber rings, front glass, clicky switch with spring and a little grease included. “ there’s no battery and charger included. And to top it off, I found the source:
DX
I’m sure the other two are there as well.
This is officially my last order from Wallbuys people. I wish I had caught it before it shipped. Sad

Welcome the night.

Agreed, if I could find someone on here to do that for me I would probably do it.

My T90 came in today and it’s BIG! Really big. I’m liking it so far. Workmanship in some spots could be better, but overall I think it’s a good buy. I’ll review it soon.

Did I mention it’s big?

Welcome the night.

There’s a press-fit cover over it, had to pry that off. Driver is rather small, but drives quite good; I measure 7.08A to the emitter. There;s no heatsinking on the FET or diode, which are easily the hottest components. Adding a heatsink to pull additional heat into the huge driver area should help get up to emitter max of 9A.
Driver efficiency is decent too:31.8W in, 27.4W out. 86% efficient. Better than the TF X6 driver results I heard of 70ish%.
More details in a future review and mod post. Wink

Welcome the night.

Sneak peek: 60kcd, 1450lm Smile up from 49kcd, 1250lm.

This was a fun light to mod. I hope to have the review and mod posted this weekend… maybe.

I’m not interested in de-doming it, but I bet you’d easily crack 100kcd with that mod. Dale had good results with his de-domed X6.

Welcome the night.
