I just spotted this new Romisen RC-889 over at DX . (Note: DX has a typo in the product title saying 22650.) I just searched and also found it at KD . I wonder if it's typical Romisen quality? 5 modes, no memory, starts on high, only $16.70.

Not a bad looking light, damm good price compared to an a8 too.

This looks VERY much like not being genuine Romisen!
Copy’n’paste from DX forum post of user undefined:
It has NO typical Romisen characteristics whatsoever:
- no forward clicky
- tailcap inside totally different (they have a typical look)
- Romisen has never released a flashlight with this body color
price tag too low for a genuine Romisen
In fact, this light shares a lot of characterics with other mediocre/ok’ish noname flashlights:
- tailcap inside
- color
- reverse clicky
- same price
Not to forget the green clicky and o-rings…
