i have both a TrustFire F20 and Balder SE-1 as my two regular 14500 lights and like both for various reasons but was thinking i’d LOVE if i had the light and output levels of my Balder (in NW XM-L), with the modes and memory of the F20 (h-m-l-s-sos). does any such light exist? even if i just had the reverse clicky and mode memory added on the Balder, i’d be much happier. as it stands, the F20 stays at work where i need it in the low mode most of the time to peer into small spaces. the Balder goes with me some times as the flood and output seem to rival my UF-2100 but in a much smaller, easier-to-carry package.
i was able to find one XM-L 14500 light with the specs i wanted on DX, but it has no name strangely and no reviews so i have no idea how to look for reviews on that light. it’s a bit higher than i want to gamble on a light but if anyone has anything positive to say, i’d consider it. what others do you guys/gals recommend? thanks!
whew, that Zebra light is out of my league as far as $$$. i can see spending $30-50 on an EDC that was perfect. very nice, however.
that F20 mod looks awesome. i may have to pick up a couple of the F20’s if they’re still around and try this even though i’ve never done any soldering. why not?
