Another Scaru Giveaway-6000 Posts

It looks like it's time for me to do another giveaway, so here it is.

I am giving away a good condition HD2010 host. Here some pictures are.

It will accept up to a 19.33 mm star, and a 17mm driver. The driver needs to not have anything on the edges to fit.

Here is how this is going to work, everyone that fits the rules (posted below) gets one entry. To get this entry they simply post below in the thread, just say count me in or something of that sort.

You can get a second entry by giving me a recommendation for a machinist to make me a heatsink for my Flydragon host. Each machinist should only be posted once (no reposts, I know this gives an advantage to people earlier on but oh well).

Finally, if I do end up having that machinist work for me then you get five entries into the raffle. :D

Rules

  1. You must have registered before January 1st 2020 :P
  2. Your username can not be Nitro
  3. Any machinists you recommend must be able to work on flashlights+cut threads
    1. ChicagoX has already been contacted so you can't suggest him

The giveaway will end friday the 15th at 12:00 EST, the drawing will be held around then (If I can)

Extra Entries

  1. Gords1001
  2. Speedsix
  3. Pulsar
  4. Toaster79
  5. Millerman
  6. Ruffles
  7. likeaboss

MRsDNF maybe? i know hes a whiz with the lathe… dont know if he likes to do it for money though

Count me in, don’t know of any machinist to recoment though, sorry.

Good luck with the build.

Thanks

count me in  i know two guys from czech who can work magic with lathe (mike and blancman)

Oooh… A HD2010 host… I would like to put some stuff into that puppy!
Could you add emitter/star size and circuit board size in first post btw?

(I could recommend my brother, but considering the distance and other details I would not consider that a good option)

Go on, I’m in, my dad may be able to machine the part if you can do a drawing including required threads.

Thanx Scaru

Awesome, count me in please. Thanks for the giveaway scaru.

Wow, closing in on 6,000 posts - congrats. Thanks for hosting the give away and all you’ve contributed on BLF.

Count me in!

Thanks for the giveaway Scaru.

As for the machining part, I could be of some help (I guess you’ve seen the flashlight I’ve built), but if you need larger amounts of parts, I could have them made by a shop where I used to work for good price.

I’m in. The machine shop we use is pretty good. They are commercial and would probably charge a decent amount for your work.

count me in, please, thanks.

I’d be happy to turn whatever you’d like, for free, if you could just have this shipped to me along w/ your project specs

You are one generous man.

The only machinist I know is some psycho-thriller film. :/

Yeah, I guess I'll shoot him a PM if I don't hear back from Wayne/someone in the US. He's done a few things for me in the past which all have been great. Added you to the double entry list.

You better pay up for yapping so much. I’m in.

Surely you have considered a human lathe whose-name-need-not-nor-shall-be-mentioned for your project?

Count me in.

I know a very good machinist but I’m still working on bribing him to make a few bit for me first!

Count me in.

Count me in, sorry, no referrals. Wonder how you wound up with a perfectly good HD2010 host? I'm working today on fitting a 20mm SinkPAD into one I got, so far got it shaped and got the wire routing worked out.

Count me in.

It’s not that much about a machinist but getting an access to the specialized machines and tools.

congrats to the 6000th post!!
