Anyone have a PALIGHT A8 (aka H900)??

I’m curious if anyone has one of these. PALIGHT A8 http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1832

I think they’re also labeled as PALIGHT H900

The look nice, but then again….so have other lights. I was thinking about getting one, possibly to mod if there was enough room in the tube (even with a little light sanding) to squeeze 3 AA’s in there….

If anyone has one, and can comment on the quality and the inner tube diameter, that would be great!!

Hi Sprinkles, I was in a store 2 days ago that stocked PALIGHTS. The build quality was very nice and looks as good, perhaps better in hand compared to the picture. Held side by side against my Nitecore MT26 it was difficult to tell the quality apart. Beam profile seemed nice, although I only briefly flashed it. The only thing for me that let me down were the backs by the tail switch where silver metal is exposed, it isn’t exactly stainless steel, although some might like it. Overall, for the price I think you’ll like it, I’m still tempted to go back and buy one (amongst many others I just bought >) )

O.K, that link isn’t showing the back of the tail cap. Have a look at this one to see what I mean:

I doubt you'd even come close to fitting 3AA's inside it!  3AA's is roughly the size of a 32650!

Very true, Garry.  The O.D. of the battery tube is only 30mm and the I.D. would have to be 32mm at least to fit 3xAA in it.

Size: 113mm(Length)*45.5mm(head diameter)*30mm(tube diameter)

I'm actually rather interested in the zoomie aspheric version of it: http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002124/1153401-palight-m900-cree-xm...

Anyone try that one out yet?

There is one "review at DX":dx.com/p/173030!

Thanks, link is broken, but found it.  Seems like a winner of a light.

I'll order it after fasttech is back from holiday, and report back.

I ordered one (send out 30.01 with Hong Kong Post) – maybe I get it before CNY ends.

Pass on the zoomie.  Mine was rather disappointing.

It's underdriven, there is poor contact between the star and the host, and it's a disappointingly poor thrower.  Not enough room for it to focus the light more.

I have not ordered the M900 (zoom light) - I ordered the A8-X960LS. This was the flashlight which started this thread.

Here is my review about it in german

I will translate it in the next days into english and will post it here, too.

Light up the darkness.

BLF A8 is brighter and throws better.  The zoomie is much floodier when zoomed out.
