Test / Review: Efest IMR26650 3000mAh (Blue)

Efest IMR26650 3000mAh (Blue)

Official specifications:

  • Nominal Voltage: 3.7v
  • Battery Model: 26650 Capacity: 3000mAh
  • Positive: Flat top
  • Cycle Life: 500 Cycles
  • Max Charging Rate: 4.5amps

This is a IMR cell with low internal resistance.

The cells does very good up to 10A, but 15A is to much.

Conclusion

The cells has only about 2500mAh capacity, this is low for a 26650, you can get 18650 with more capacity, this does not make this a bad battery, but a battery designed for a special purpose.
If you need as much voltage as possible and a lot of current, this is the battery, especially between 5A and 10A.
At the current time I can only rate them acceptable, because Efest is a new company, and the batteries is not from one of the big brands.

Thanks HKJ. Maybe the capacity on these batteries should be changed to closer what really are?

I ’ve been wondering how these cells would perform. Thanks for the review, always informative. Looks like they would hold 10A, at least for a little while.

Thanks very much for the review! Frontpage’d and Sticky’d.

Thanks for the thorough review HKJ as usual. I can’t see me needing this type of cell in any current situation, but you never know.
