Actually, feature list is quite good. I really like feature #11 my BC700 don’t have, for example, and I think it’s a really nice feature. What I don’t like is
Means that if I want to charge only one batt, this batt will be charged at max current. There’s no posibility to change that
Can’t say anything about those BTY batts. For 15 bucks with shipping, looks a good deal. On the other hand, you have LaCrosse BC700 (and others) for about 25.
Thanks, ShashiX,
I appreciate the information. I had not looked at the features. Not sure why I would buy it since I have eneloops and charger, but wondered. Looks like a pretty fair deal.
Regards,
Jerry
If this charger has free shipping and is located in US, then buy it, it might be worth simply because of LCD and high charging current.
Been looking at one that costs ~9$, but wont buy it for that price, 5-7$, yes, 9$-no.
There are some videos on Youtube, but it looks like all are without narration and about one minute long, reason for posting such video is is simple - sending link with video to the seller will get you either some store credit or perhavs 1-5$ coupon code.
Those videos all suck, Youutube is full of such mindless trash.
Mmm… mine too, but… why they stated this in their manual?
and also this
I have one batt that is dead (0V) and I’ve tried to charge it and that’s what happened, “NULL” as a result. Had to charge it with my dumb Varta charger to reach at least 1V.
Are you trying to tell me that if I select “Refresh” option I can charge 0V batts with BC700 without using dumb charger previously?
Bought mine (Technoline, aka European LaCrosse) for 25 Euros from Spain Amazon. Don’t know how much does it cost today, but when I bought mine, I’ve seen same chargers for 25 bucks at Amazon.com (USA). IQ328 model was even 20 Euros (again, European Amazon).
I have one for more that a year and I like it, the display is green and shows bars going up and down when is working and turns off when the batteries are charged and is very fast, I always keep an eye in all my chargers to be safe
Yes, I know you meant $. Just said that because firstly I want to buy it from Amazon.com for $25, but shipping to Spain was 7-8 bucks or something like that. So I bought mine for 25 Euros (1Euros=1$ ) from Amazon.es.
Anyway, can’t find them for $25 right now (Amazon.com) But Technoline I bought for 25E now cost 2E less
Got this same charger from Tmart about 6 months ago. Works pretty well charges really fast. LCD is very bright. Charger can get pretty warm if batteries are left in it all day after they are done charging. Overall good charger. It stopped working a month ago, because one of the contacts where you plug it in got pushed inside. Fixed it easily though, and works fine ever since.
Hey guys,
I found this site through google looking for a charger review of the goop quick charger, hoping i can get some good advice here.
How would you guys compare this to a Intellicharger? this one costs about 8 euros, the intellicharger i2 can be bought for about 10euros and the i4 for 15, im basicly deciding between these chargers, i will be using them only for AA battery’s.
Cant say how good or bad is Goop charger, only thing I see that it is faster than i2/i4.
Another thing - i2/i4 are not good at charging AAA sized batteries, Id avoid it for this reason alone!
If you want to charge AAA sized batteries i2/i4 it anyway, then you will have to buy bunch of AAA to AA battery adaptors ;)!
