Pot of Gold at the end of the Ray Bow

Yep, Ray Bow, as in 1 x 26650 flashlight. Any experience with this light?

Hi Rusty,

I wanted it, but none of the specs make sense as I’m sure you’ve already seen. Instead, I purchase the Prairie-Fire D11, which is 1x18650/26650. The specs are also much more in line. It’s hasn’t arrived yet, but when it does, I’ll report on it.

Ah, good choice. it may be my new 26650 light. Let me know!

Ray Bow… Color Apples… such a peaceful thread… Well except for the prairie fire…

Thought this was misspelled till I read your post: funny title!!!

Not sure if I’d want to charge the 26650 INSIDE of the light?

I keep hearing people say that. What’s the harm in charging inside a light?

Just the shrapnel I guess.

+1…

I’m more worried about a rocket-propelled projectile hitting the sternum

(trying to find the video I saw of a light breaking out through a screen door like a missile…)

I hate the idea of on board charging for this reason. Plus we have already seen reviews where it turns out, there’s no charging/safety circuit in the light.

I’ve also noticed people suggest such a thing would be ideal for a police man in his cruiser. Really really really bad idea.

Well a quality light like the tm26 or even a Klarus I wouldn’t have a problem with. The generic “*fire” lights I would never trust no matter what the price.

I think its a bad idea on any light since civilians won’t see the difference (other than price) between a ?fire and a klarus, it just shouldn’t be encouraged.

lol

Does anyone have any direct examples of that? And how about with protected cells? Would that help? What could trigger an actual explosion.
