2 reflectors with Ultra Fire T6 drop-in compared

I wanted to see the difference (if any) between the two reflectors supplied with the latest Ulrra Fire/Manafont 3-mode XM-L drop-in.  This comparo was conducted at the Ugly Wall test facility with the cactus plant 55 feet away.  All shots were 1/4 second/shutter speed @ f2.8.  The host used is my new Ultra Fire WF 503B.

First, the control shot.

Next is the Ultra Fire XM-L with smooth reflector.

Now, the op reflector.

And, for comparison purposes I include a Solarforce L2 with Solarforce single mode XM-L.

I'll let you decide, I can see little difference.  Maybe it matters more at a shorter distance.

reflector is noticeably brighter. The palm, and the wall of the neighbours house are brighter than with the OP.

You know what, you're right.  I bet it would be more noticeable at shorter ranges.

Just a beginer here.  Is that something I can find out with my lame Amprobe 5XP-A?  I want to know that too.

Could you make a white wall shots from... 1 m for example? Will see the beam quality difference better.

Not nearly as defined of a hotspot on the OP. The OP has a "fuzzier/softer" beam profile.

2.15A is quite good-much lower than the Manafonts 3.5!
